The Kenmur House is delightful B&B a short walk to town center. St Canice's Cathedral is quite impressive as is Kilkenny Castle. Regrettably the castle was closed for preparations for a visit by Prince Charles but we did get a quick look around the grounds before being asked

Do not hesitate to book at the Kenmur House, it's an easy 5 min walk into the heart of Kilkenny; John and Peggy are some of the best hosts you will find in Ireland. We stayed with them for 2 nights this past August, Peggy's Irish breakfast was one of the best we had during our 2 week stay in the Emerald Isle. We also stayed with John's brother Gerry at Bayview House in Tralee, both I highly recommend.
