Check-in was fast and efficient.
The room was comfortable, a good size and clean. The shower had great pressure.
My friend noticed that the shower caps are made from corn starch instead of plastic so better for the environment. This is the first time we had seen this and were impressed. Also, the drinking water provided in the room was in a glass container instead of disposable plastic bottles, also a plus.
All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly.
There was a good choice for breakfast and breakfast staff were very attentive to all requests.

We ate here on a Sunday evening and our party of three all opted for the early bird menu.We have all travelled extensively and have been lucky enough to eat in five star cruise ships, as well as other top notch restaurants and to say that Zunis food was the most amazing food we have eaten in years is not an understatement! The chef is an artistic talent as well as a superb cook. The trout starter was to die for, the chicken main the best we have ever tasted and the desserts to die for!! We salivated over every course. Social distancing was apparent throughout the dining room and we felt completely safe as the room was also well ventilated. If you are in Kilkenny and enjoy fine dining at an excellent price, we thoroughly recommend you book this restaurant well in advance as it books up quickly with the reduced capacity during the current pandemic. Compliments to the chef and your very pleasant staff!!! We are returning to Kilkenny in October and are already dreaming about the menu!

Highly recommend this hotel and restaurant for location, value and staff. The food and service was fantastic. We stayed in one of the street facing suites in the original 1902 building. The room and bed were very comfortable, however be prepared to be rudely awakened at 0600 by the delivery truck outside the window. Staff went out of their way to make our anniversary week trip around Ireland even more special by having a small welcome cake waiting in our room and even finished off our dinner with a very thoughtfully presented ice cream plate. All in all, while the location is perfect, it truly is the staff on property that will keep this business going strong into the future. Book It Dano!

Kilkenney is a medieval town with a cool castle. Zuni is easily accessible by walking to all places in the town. Louise is fantastic at "craic" and a jolly good receptionist. Rooms are comfortable. Soups in the restaurant are formidable. The included breakfast will make you forget lunch.

My wife and I recently ate here and the food is amazing. Scotch Egg starter and Sea Bass mains were superb. Our only downside was that service was very rushed. We arrived at 7.30, had starter, main course, dessert and coffee and were leaving by 8.50 and kitchen staff were cleaning down the kitchen for the night.
I would still return on my next visit to Kilkenny and would highly recommend Zuni restaurant

My main course was about €5. Duck breast (2 for €5) served with lentils, broccoli or spinach and I was hungry. €28. I then had sticky toffee pudding which filled the hole. My husband had the fish and had a fine plate of food. He gave me a couple little cube of potatoes. It tasted fine but I won’t be returning.

Had the pleasure of staying in Zuni and having dinner in their restaurant over the weekend. I really enjoyed dinner, the food is contemporary, delicious and served with a smile from their great front of house team. The rooms are very spacious, well appointed and comfy. Zuni is the perfect location for a night away for a celebration - Looking forward to my return. Thank you

From the first phone call, two subsequent phone calls, arrival, meal, birthday cake, everything was just excellent! Every person that we met went above and beyond to anticipate needs and exceed expectations. This is just how they seem to roll in Zuni. So many hospitality businesses today seen to forget to put the customer/guest to the forefront of the experience. Not so at Zuni! “What do you need?” “How can we work that out for you?” It shouldn’t be so refreshing that the service is faultless and kind but it was and it is at Zuni. As for the food it’s difficult to give a favourite because it was all so delicious but highlights include scallops, Thai chicken salad and the lamb cooked to perfection and so tender. We travelled to Kilkenny for this family celebration and it couldn’t have been better, and there were 14 of us! The restaurant was busy and that’s no surprise, we will certainly be back! Thank you Zuni for making our family celebration such a wonderful experience!

This hotel is amazing. Staff are so friendly. We stayed here last night and we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was so efficient and friendly. We found out later her name is Louise. We went out to another venue for food but I was disappointed and the food here is also meant to be amazing. Next time we stay we will eat in Zuni's.The bed is so comfortable pillows are fabulously fluffy and comfortable. We came back to the hotel late and Ross greeted us we asked if we could get a drink in the bar and it was no problem. He is lovely too. If you come to Kilkenny stay in Zuni's it is so reasonable and so central. We don't need to checkout until 12 noon and we can leave our car in the free car park until 2 pm. A real find for us. Thanks Zuni's. We had a fantastic stay.

Very disappointed in our stay here. When we arrived we were buzzed into the car park but there was no parking there, we had to park about five minutes away and pay for parking. There is a radiator in the room that buzzed all night so we got no sleep, there was no hot water in the shower it was lukewarm. The curtains were badly stained and there is a hole in the wall in the bathroom. We have ate here numerous times and the food is delicious but the hotel was a big letdown . We brought this to receptions attention which she was very nice and apologised but nothing else was don't on the matter
