Also ate in the restaurant it was delightful. The ambiance, the food throughly enjoyable. The quality of the food is of a very high standard. This hotel offers an experience of great location, unbelievable staff and outstanding food. Well done. Can’t wait to come back.

Zuni Hotel is perfectly situated to explore Kilkenny centre on foot. Check-in was fast and efficient. The room was comfortable, a good size and clean. The shower had great pressure. My friend noticed that the shower caps are made from corn starch instead of plastic so better for the environment. This is the first time we had seen this and were impressed. Also, the drinking water provided in the room was in a glass container instead of disposable plastic bottles, also a plus. All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. There was a good choice for breakfast and breakfast staff were very attentive to all requests.

A little gem in the heart of Kilkenny City! Just back from an overnight stay in Zuni with dinner and breakfast included. We had a wonderful time. The staff are so helpful and friendly from the moment you check in. Our room was a suite and it was beautiful. A big comfy bed, seating area and lovely wet room style bathroom. Dinner is the restaurant was delicious. It was great to see a mix of locals and hotel guests eating there (always a sign of good food). My only complaint would be that the portions are huge 😂 Breakfast the following morning, in the bar was equally delicious. The quality of ingredients was fantastic and really well cooked! Plenty of everything too, even large teapots for the Irish tea drinkers. We will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone we know visiting Kilkenny!

My main course was about €5. Duck breast (2 for €5) served with lentils, broccoli or spinach and I was hungry. €28. I then had sticky toffee pudding which filled the hole. My husband had the fish and had a fine plate of food. He gave me a couple little cube of potatoes. It tasted fine but I won’t be returning.

I had a great weekend in kilkenny with a friend on the 4th & 5th of Feb. Zuni Hotel was perfectly located and had customer parking which was great. Hotel room was lovely with a Nespresso machine, comfy beds, crisp linen & a great big shelf in the bathroom!!!! Breakfast was top quality and we loved the Eggs Benedict & Pancakes. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night and it was exceptional. The only problem was trying to choose!! Top marks to the chef on very creative plates. Service was excellent and a special thanks to our waitress Ioana who was very attentive. Going back to kilkenny in May and have already booked Zuni for 3 nights plus dinner. It’s a real gem in the heart of a wonderful city. Great value for money.

We popped down to Kilkenny by train for two nights in this charming modern 3 star hotel to get away from Christmas for a while …. First and foremost , great staff .. Louise on front Desk ( and everywhere ) is simply amazing with great advice for local attractions to boot ! Room fine , shower great even if water pressure not 100% . ( for hotel advice , I would say improve the Matress and pillow quality ) but this not enough to detract from a fantastic hotel stay …. We ate in the restaurant at the hotel which was fantastic too ( waitress from Canada so professional and proficient) ( also breakfast waitress Mingha , truly wonderful ) Separate review on restaurant later ) all in all amazing welcome / staff / experience and definitely will return next year to do it all again x thank you Zuni !! Fantastic x

Zuni is a great boutique hotel in the heart of Kilkenny. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, both of our rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. (Do not miss dinner at the restaurant— even if you’re not staying here). Zuni also has a quiet little bar across from the restaurant, which is a great place to have a drink before or after dinner. The hotel is centrally-located so you can walk to everything. We will definitely return— the service and friendliness of the staff make this a wonderful place to stay. Can’t say enough good things about the experience.
