Had a wonderful time, kids club was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Very accommodating to change times with dinner breakfast etc. great location not far from from city center only 6 minutes drive
My husband and I stayed in an executive suite for 2 nights and it was a lovely spacious room. The staff were kind and courteous from the start to end of our visit. Everyone said hello as we passed. We ate in the bar both nights and the food was delicious, beautiful cooked and presented. Service was flawless. It is also very much aimed and families but perfect for everyone. We will definitely be returning with the family. It is a little outside of the city, just over 5 minute drive to the city but that is actually what we wanted
Short break, very nice hotel and staff were lovely..dinner was fantastic, as was breakfast..we had a few little issues ..tap not working properly and kettle tripping out, but staff were apologetic and happy to deal with them ..overall a little expensive, but a nice treat.
Meeting my Aunt was a very special moment but it was made a magical moment with a touch of elegance having Afernoon Tea at Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny. The food was so inviting, and mouthwatering delicious, The Staff attentive to our needs being showed to the bar for cocktails by Amy on our arrival before Gerard escorted us to our afternoon delights. Being a tea drinker I was delighted kept the pot filled with fresh hot tea. The Staff really take care of you . It was a complete indulgence I'm looking forward to repeating and would recommend the experience to all ladies for those special moments.
Beautiful hotel. Full of activities for both adults and children. The rooms were quite and private. The staff were beyond helpful and extremely polite. This is one of the nicest hotels that Iv ever visited.
We stayed 3 days in the Newpark hotel in Kilkenny over my birthday. Fom start to finish was all perfect. All the staff was great, the spa experience, food, room was fantastic. We just enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you to all
Anna at reception was lovely to deal with even gave little goodie bags to my boys. Overall experience was good. You can see a lack of management with staff. Coming over clearing tables when meals weren't finished i understand in hospitality alot of new staff coming and going just more training needs to be provided. Few staff standing around not knowing what to do a little more attentive and care goes a long way to guests. Breakfast was average. Maintenance going on next door at 8am in the morning kids couldn't have a lie in with the noise. My family really enjoyed their stay. From the room to the outdoor farm it was a good holiday.
First time to stay in newpark. Thanks to lovely lady on reception who kindly gave us a room upgrade. Great breakfast in the morning. Also food in bar was great. Hotel was spotless. Unfortunately did not have time to use pool or spa. Hopefully will do on our next visit.
We chose the Newpark because of the family element of our holidays. With two young children (4 & 6), the amenities on offer were much appreciated and a great attraction for the holiday. The hotel had fantastic online reservation system for booking the pool, breakfast, and dinner. Extremely easy to use and allowed us to organise our trip easily. The quality of the facilities was great. The biggest let-down was the younger service staff. Terribly nice, but more interested in chatting among themselves, than servicing our tables. This happened multiple times. It is a reflection that, other than struggling through breakfast, we only ate in the bar once for lunch and once for dinner. Dinner was OK. Well catered for the kids, with plenty of options. Lunch completely lacked that same child-friendly feel. The Terrace was rarely available during our stay, but when it was completely lacked a menu, and people able to articulate the options on offer! All in all, numerous little missed opportunities both to impress and pull in revenue. We did feed this to the reception at checkout and discussed the impact of COVID on the availability of experienced staff. Would we return, yes - that would be for the pool and the farm.…
My husband and I are on a CIE tour through Ireland and this is our second hotel. We will be here for two nights. The room is a very long walk from reception. There is a phone in the room but it does not plug in to the wall and therefore doesn’t work. The room is average size and and clean. Bathroom amenities are adequate. Nothing special and nothing terrible. Therefore an average review.
