Very nice place. Great location. Easy walking distance to main tourist area and local pubs with Irish music. Good breakfast included. Helpful staff. Easy free parking. Internet included. Clean and comfortable not luxurious. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for one night in a room on the first floor. The host was welcoming and very helpful. Using his advice we had a great night of Irish music in the town. His breakfasts were also excellent. Plenty of fruit and muesli and an excellent plate of cooked food. The room was clean, a little small, but adequate,...

After driving some distance, this was our first Bed and Breakfast of many during our travels in Ireland. The good news is, it made the others look great. We arrived and the house was locked up. We had to ring a buzzer that called a phone. We were told the owners (their son) were out of town on "holiday" and...

The owner was very helpful, and even helped us with our itinerary - he gave some great suggestions. Free onsite parking, clean room, and only a 10 minute walk from the city center. Its a family friendly place with a cute back patio where we sat and had a bottle of wine. The city was a nice change from busy...

My friend booked this B&B a few weeks ago. She explained on the phone that we were a hen party and would it be a problem? She received a very welcoming approach during the phone conversation, but that was all to change when we stayed. The owner was not only verbally abusive towards us but was totally unprofessional. At 7pm...

Rooms basic, but clean, spacious and comfortable. Garden and plenty of parking (for free). Good walk from town, but pleasant and safe. Easy orientation wise - just follow the castle walls. During the day you might walk part of the route via castle gardens. Overall, I would recommend it. If you are looking for a more central location or higher...

This was my first experience in a bed and breakfast and it could not have been better. There was a confusion with our reservations at another B&B in Kilkenny. The owner of that B&B directed us to Castle Lodge. We really were lucky...because it was a wonderful experience. Liam treated us like family. He gave us great advise on where...
