Travellers' Choice
If it's a friendly spot for a catch-up or a relaxed stopover for business, The Ashe Hotel is the perfect place to take a break. A modern four star addition to the vibrant and historical town of Tralee, this contemporary hotel is proving a popular place for lunch, dinner, drinks or roasted fresh coffee. A bustling hub, popular with neighbours and visitors, we love our location tucked away behind the main shopping street in the centre of town. Whether it's evening cocktails, a sparkling dinner, or a plush pillow for a great night's sleep, there's every good reason to stay. Our speciality gastro bar and restaurant menu is full of food sourced from local producers. Lunch happens from 12pm to 4pm and dinner from 4pm to 9pm. We're serious about providing the finest quality ingredients and a changing menu to fill happy appetites (even little ones with our children's menu). Soak up the atmosphere of our buzzing bar with smooth wines, craft beers, and a great line in cool cocktails. Meet friends, chill out after a busy day, enjoy a fun evening - our bar staff can mix things up for you. At The Ashe Hotel, we get excited about top class comfort and our ability to provide luxury accommodation in the heart of Kerry's capital. Even better, we are a stroll away from shops, restaurants, businesses and other fun things like swimming and the movies.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice hotel/bar/restaurant/communal area, friendly staff, good breakfasts - vegan options and oat milk available which went down very well. Rooms serviced daily/complimentary newspapers. Would recommend

We booked in at the Ashe Hotel for 3 nights but decided to book in for a fourth night as we were having such a lovely time. All the girls on reception are so helpful and staff in restaurant are brilliant. Fantastic choice for breakfast and food is super. Great location as you can walk to town and close proximity to some wonderful beaches ⛱️. Can't wait to return as we had such a wonderful time. Thanks for making our few days in Tralee extra special!

Thank you for a wonderful few days in Tralee. From the moment we arrived to the end it was fantastic. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are well trained, a simple example, I dropped my fork at breakfast one morning and I asked for a replacement, rather than just hand me a new fork, the waitress returned with a new fork on a serviette on a plate. Simple touch but very nice. During my stay the weather was unbelievable so we decided to stay an extra night, I checked on line but they were full up. I went to Vicky who was on duty that night and asked if there might be a cancellation, she checked for me and said to call back later, we got to stay and extra night and we stayed in the same room and we got a nice discount, now that's service! My 8 year old asked me when we left if we can go back to that hotel because it "has great service and great food". We travel to Tralee every year and we know it's The Ashe Hotel where we will be staying from now on. Parking wasn't an issue for us and when we didn't get a parking spot I simple went around the corner where there is ample space less than a minute from the hotel, I paid the night before, €2 in the meter lasted to 10am. Thank you again and see you next year.

Excellent staff but drunk noisy smoking residents outside prevented any decent sleep and nightmare parking situation Which ultimately led me to having to park in a very narrow street with metal bollards with protruding parts where the bumper of my car got seriously damaged negotiating parking

We have really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and it has a great atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable and breakfasts are very good indeed with a very good array of breakfast foods and a good menu of various cooked dishes. It is in a good central location.

Good location to town centre. We’re lucky that there were parking spaces when we arrived. Public rooms beautifully decorated and furnished. Guest room at €175. was extremely plain and disappointing. Instead of individual amenities in the bathroom, there were huge dispensers on the bathtub walls. One was shampoo and body wash combined. I don’t want to use body wash on my hair. The other was conditioner. No body lotion provided. Tiny bar of soda to be shared by two people. One water provided for two people. Carpet in upstairs common areas are buckled, unsightly and could be a tripping hazard. Breakfast mediocre. Eggs overdone and sausages, bacon and black and white pudding not hot, only lukewarm. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
