Good experience and good music, most lively place in town. Lots of regulars of all ages. Seems like a good neighborhood place. Convivial. Music starts around 10 or so. Drummer is a constant. The night we went good guitarist as well.
Stayed with 2 kids 2 3 men and my sister for the rally wasn't expecting much because it was cheap. Met by lovely man (sorry I can't remember names) who showed us round and couldn't be more helpful bar tucking us in at night😁 gray breakfast again lovely staff and very quaint building live music in bar very good accommodation. The only negatives could be parking on the street but free after 18.30 and lots of stairs I have some minor mobility issues but managed with the hand rail. I plan on going back there for any future rally we are doing in the area.
Always a great bar to visit Busy most nights Central John the owner is very nice They do a good B and B upstairs Recommend this place No food though Great for the Irish music but not too Irish Good beer X
Stayed in Sean Og's for one night recently and for pub accomodation it was very good. Made feel welcome on arrival by our host. Given the keyes and directions we went to the double room we booked. The room was small with a comfy bed and nice en suite. All the usual like kettle and tea and coffee were in the room as well as a hair dryer. The shower room had Sean Og's personalised shower gel and shampoo although two more bottles would have been welcome. Later that evening we went to the bar below which was well populated . Great atmosphere with good music. The following morning we went for breakfast. Again nothing fancy but it was as good a breakfast as I have had at a B&B or hotel in a long time. For €68 for two this was excellent value. Not a regular visitor to Tralee…
We were greeted with a smile. Great old style pub, makes you feel at home. Friendly atmosphere and definitely appears to be a local favorite. Great breakfast with B&B. Rooms very comfy and warm and have been renovated. Love the touch with Sean Og shampoo and conditioner. Great Irish music.
We stayed here whilst touring Ireland with another couple. It is advertised as a B&B. It is really rooms above a very noisy pub. The attraction for us was traditional Irish music. This was a guy on a guitar who didn't really sing but shouted out of key. The other guy on the button accordion had a good voice. Unfortunately, most of there music was not traditional Irish but included Billy Joel, Paul Simon and many other non Irish singers. Certainly not traditional. The accommodation!!!! They fail to mention that you have to haul your luggage up three flights of stairs. Two if you are lucky. The rooms are minute. So small that the double bed is pushed against the wall. Even then there was not enough room to have our two cases open on the floor at the same time. The bathroom was…
Where to start.... perfect location to the train station and shops bars restaurants all literally at the door. Staff were so lovely friendly and helpful. Room was so cozy felt right at home. And breakfast was so yummy. I genuinely love this place and will be booking my second stay for September asap. The pub was also great lively craic great local singers and the staff I will never forget, such genuine lovely people. Sean Ogs.... number 1 top notch place.
We visited this bar on both the days we were in Tralee. The barman was great and the atmosphere very good. There was a great local band playing in the evening when we returned the second day. At the barman's recommendation we tried Dingle gin and Creans lager (both local to Kerry) and enjoyed them both
Brilliant pub ,great Guinness and music that was superb. Fields of Athenry as good as it gets . You must go to this pub. The atmosphere is what you want, the band last night were just great. Seven drunken nights last song I remember!
Dropped in here few days ago. Sunday night two guys, one of them as good a singer as I have ever heard, anywhere! Monday night three guys, guitar, fiddle and accordion player, the latter the best I've ever heard anywhere (and fair play to others for keeping up with him). The pub itself and ambience is divine. Look in!
