Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best service ever changed my life. Go here and ask for Jack it’ll be the best night ever. He went out of his way to give us unreal service. I loved it here i’ll be coming back again for drinks. What a night what a legend.

I must say I love this bar so much and I always call here when in Tralee, a great place with lovely people and fantastic bar staff who would bring my pints to the table , there is music here and I’ve read comments such as the one below that the music is repulsive and that British people might feel uncomfortable, well this is our culture as they say in Northern Ireland the songs are about our Irish history, I can see why a Brit might feel unsettled in here especially with the history they have against the Irish people, but it’s called craic , Irish craic , and I believe you can leave when you want to , but I found everyone having a great time a truly great bar with some great Irish music.

For a room above a pub it was very basic, with earplugs in a person can sleep. I dropped something under the bed and when trying to retrieve it, left it because under the bed was disgusting. Hopefully they work on that. Besides that the staff were very nice and breakfast was fine. The musicians never showed but Tralee has plenty of other pubs for entertainment. This is an okay place to stay but don't forget, it is over a pub, so it's not Ashford Castle

My first bad hotel review. I understand that you get what you pay for but I expected more for €60 (62 with pay parking), especially after paying €72 for a delightful place in Dingle, a much more touristy city. Almost all the positive reviews are based on the great bar and great music.

Very soft mattress with a plastic mattress cover, but fairly comfortable. The only window was to an airshaft/light-well. Smell of cigarette smoke (probably from the airshaft). The room was small: the double bed took up most of the room so you can get out only on one side of the bed.

The bathroom had no window or working vent. The toilet seat was broken.

Nice staff. Good full breakfast but not much variety for other choices.

It was noisy at night but I expected that because of the well-advertised live music and from other trip advisor reviews. I went to bed before the music was over. I could hear it, and people talking in the airshaft, but it wasn't bad and I slept well

As a tour guide I get around and visit and recommend good entertaining venues. I'm not exaggerating if I say that Sean Og's is the very best music venue I know in Ireland.
Not only the music is great, the staff is next to none. Friendly, efficient, humorous. Prices are very fair.

An absolute gem of a pub. Serious craic. Great music!. Great staff ! . A must if you are in Tralee. Looking forward to going back already. We’ll come back to beat Kerry next year ! 😀😀 I didn’t stay in the accommodation but will certainly book it next time around.

Wonderful pub to enjoy a good beer and listen to some Irish nice music
Great atmosphere great bartender’s good crowd

There’s no food here so it’s just drink and music

Quaint little fireplace in the corner when it’s cold

Seems to be the local hang out

Stayed in Sean Og's for one night recently and for pub accomodation it was very good. Made feel welcome on arrival by our host. Given the keyes and directions we went to the double room we booked. The room was small with a comfy bed and nice en suite. All the usual like kettle and tea and coffee were in the room as well as a hair dryer. The shower room had Sean Og's personalised shower gel and shampoo although two more bottles would have been welcome. Later that evening we went to the bar below which was well populated . Great atmosphere with good music. The following morning we went for breakfast. Again nothing fancy but it was as good a breakfast as I have had at a B&B or hotel in a long time. For €68 for two this was excellent value. Not a regular visitor to Tralee but certainly would return here.

We stayed here at the B&B for one night. There was one key between the two of us. Room #4 directly above the bar. My husband wanted to go out, I wanted to stay in, but no way to lock door unless he locked me in!! Not safe at all. Additionally, no need to go down to listen to music in the crowded bar area. WE could hear everything in the room!! Do not recommend this place at all.

Hello, The pub is great for atmosphere but there are a lot of places to choose from to eat. We ate at the Stonehouse which is only a couple of minutes walk and rated very highly.

Hi, Tralee is a calm and small town. There are parking places behind the house and a huge parking area in the shopping area nearby. best regards
