Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Agree with the English group who were on about Rebel music honestly it's about time we moved on living in the past here in Ireland picture going into a pub and bands singing about the first or second world War or any conflict we have to move with the times and let history be history.Where from Ireland ourselves .

Live music even in the "off season" this is a traditional irish pub that has stood the test of time. Go'on give it a visit and it wont let you down. Fires lit, beers flowing and your mans on the guitar by 9 ish in the evening belting out the best songs you'll hear in the town. Sunday night was brilliant

I must say I love this bar so much and I always call here when in Tralee, a great place with lovely people and fantastic bar staff who would bring my pints to the table , there is music here and I’ve read comments such as the one below that the music is repulsive and that British people might feel uncomfortable, well this is our culture as they say in Northern Ireland the songs are about our Irish history, I can see why a Brit might feel unsettled in here especially with the history they have against the Irish people, but it’s called craic , Irish craic , and I believe you can leave when you want to , but I found everyone having a great time a truly great bar with some great Irish music.

I visited Sean Og's last night with my wife and the place is what it is, a lively traditional Irish pub with live music entertainment. The live music was fine at first with traditional folky songs but then turned a little dark with songs about the Easter Rising and then in to full on rebel songs inciting hatred against the British. The hatred was tangible and vitriolic and made us visiting Brits very uncomfortable. It's sad to see a young generation of Irish still singing this stuff. A warm Irish welcome it was not.

Brilliant Night there. Bar staff were absolutely amazing from start to finish, especially one barman, gift of the gab, brilliant with all the punters, forgot to get his name, brilliant barman. Welcoming, great fun and service. Music was great too. Will definitely return when back in Tralee. A must visit

A great place for Night 2 of wedding! Flash reserved a few tables for us in front of the singer and we had an absolute ball. It was a fun night and everyone enjoyed themselves. Sean Ogs is a fantastic pub.

Had my girlfriend and her little niece, Maggie, in Tralee for a week. They are from Germany and it was Maggie's, aged seven, first time to Ireland. She had never seen live music before and had the best first experience thanks to all the staff at Sean Ogs. From the begining we were greeted at the door by a gentleman named Brian who showed us to some front row seats when he realised it was a special event for the little one. We got to watch Ross, a fantastic Irish musician with an amazing voice, play some great songs ,one of which he dedicated to Maggie. Looking to further her experience our new friend Brian offered to take her behind the bar for some pictures with Tralees favourite barman 'Flash'. Along with that she was then given some souvenirs to take home with her as we were leaving. Truly top class by you all and an experience Maggie will not forget. She is already planning for the next visit ☘️👍

Best bar in town! Such a cosy atmosphere in this bar 🥰 All staff are so welcoming and beyond friendly. A personal favourite of mine is their “Swimming Pool” cocktail 🍸 Who ever makes the cocktails deserves an award 🥇 A new favourite of mine is the “Watermelon Mojito” 🍉 Bathrooms are very well kept and the Covid situation is very well managed here 👍🏻 Lovely outside area with heaters 🔥 Live music is always brilliant and definitely worth going to see 🎶 Highly recommend that everyone visit ‼️
