Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A comfortable and safe place to stay in suburban Tralee. Plenty of food for breakfast with hot and cold choices. A really good pot of tea is served here. The hosts are friendly but business like. Please note it is not within reasonable walking distance of the old town or restaurants. We were locked out by accident when another guest toggled a switch on the outside door which prevented our key from working. The hosts did not answer the door when we knocked (it was 10:00PM) and we had to be let in by another guest after knocking loudly and phoning the house several times. A bit stressful. However, we stayed for three nights and used this B & B as a base for exploring the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and Kilarney NP.

Great B and B, exceptionally clean, comfortable and great hosts. Will be back. Highly recommend as a base for seeing Kerry, close to all amenities and secure off street parking. Excellent value for money compared to other B and Bs which aren’t up to scratch.

Such a nice BnB. The hosts were really really friendly & great to chat with. They made us feel welcome from start to finish. We stayed in a triple room which was spacious and had tea & coffee facilities as well as a TV, absolutely fantastic! Really enjoyed our stay, couldn’t recommend this spot enough!

The workers at this place have no customer service skills. On arrival, instead of being welcomed with a ‘hello’ or ‘how are you’ we got a ‘who are you’. This was then followed up with accusing us of not having paid yet even though we had and tried to make me pay again. It wasn’t until I showed proof I had paid, they checked their system which also backed up what I was saying. The rooms are nice but they advertise a Deluxe Triple Room as having a double and 2 single beds but they do not have these rooms available and will give you a double and 1 single bed. The breakfast was nice but they were pretty stingy with the quantity and gave really small portions. I guess this was the same with hot water as we had to have cold showers due to no hot water being available. Also if you are concerned about being COVID safe, then definitely avoid this place as we never saw the workers wear masks once while the guests did.

This is one of the hidden gems . We have visited before an so a return visit was on the cards . The rooms are a good size tea & coffee and tv in the room. Bathroom has plenty of towels and toiletries so you wont run short. The breakfast is from 8 to 10 so plenty of time to have a lie in. Lots to choose from with cereal toast or the full fry up nothing is too much trouble

This place was good. Beds were not the most comfortable. However, the owner told us where there was good places to eat and where the shopping center was. She was nice and helpful. I would recommend staying there.

A nice little B&B on the edge of town. Lovely area. Nice clean and smart rooms, good food and great hosts. Plenty of parking. Er...what else to say to fill up the minimum 200 characters here? Oh, I think that's it. Recommended.

We stopped in Tralee after a long flight from the states and decided we needed a relaxing evening. We were having lunch at MJ's Diner and started our search for a B&B with a vacancy. We had no idea what Bank Hoilday weekend meant until we needed a room or two for the night. We found Glen Fort in a local directory and gave them a call. Bridgette managed to put together a family oom for us for the one night. This B&B is simply amazing and cozy and charming and wonderful in every aspect. It was perfectly located on the outskirts of Tralee which is wha we really wanted to begin with. Bridgette recommended a restaurant 2 blocks from the B&B and it was fantastic. The Irish breakfast is delicious and she was absolutley a gracious hostess. We will be staying here when we return to visit Ireland again.

Glenfort House is a small B&B with lovely furnished bedrooms in a quiet neighbourhood. We stayed for two nights, the hosts Bridget and Brendan made us feel very welcome. The room (double bed) was spacious and comfortable, included multiple sockets to charge your devices, a hair dryer, a water heater and cups with a selection of teas. The bathroom featured a full bathtub and plenty of towels. Everything was very clean. The breakfast room has a very homely atmosphere to it, breakfast is served from 8 to 9:30 am and includes a selection of cereals, porridge on request, a French or full Irish breakfast. The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood (Ard Na Sidhe estate), walking into Tralee takes about 20 minutes. Tralee itself is a good starting point for the Dingle peninsula or the Ring of Kerry. It's very much worth to chat with the hosts, they know the area very well and can provide you with tips for your journey. For example, Bridget told us to take the route to Dingle via Connor Pass (breathtaking!) and helped us plan the journey North by recommending the Shannon ferry.
