Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Currently a guest at the hotel and feel the need to express my utter disappointment at the level of service in Dott's bar. We arrived yesterday and decided to have some dinner in Dotts. It was very busy and the restaurant is severley understaffed. There was a table beside us left waiting 40 mins after requesting their bill. When our order arrived it was the wrong order. Tables around us had similar experiences. Worse yet, there was no staff around to flag this with as once your order arrived they ignored you. Tried to call the attention of a waitress several times and was ignored. Therefore, you're left with a meal that you did not order and cannot eat. We decided to go down to the bar today for some coffee and the way in which we were treated, as they had no tables available was horrendous. The attitude of the staff member was purely obnoxious. This is my fifth time at the hotel. My prior stays have been wonderful, with kind and welcoming staff, but there has been a considerable drop in standards and manners on this occasion. It is not the warm and welcoming hotel it once was. In general the rooms need to be updated, security locks are broken, surfaces are old and scratched, bathrooms could do with an upgrade and the rooms could do with some better lighting etc, all of this could be ignored if the standards of service did not drop so severely. However, it should be said that the reception staff were lovely, as were the team in the restaurant this morning at breakfast. It's a pity that the service in one area of the hotel can thoroughly impact the rest of your stay. I had always thought of the Rose Hotel as one of my favourites, but following this visit, I won't be back.

Comfortable and well-appointed hotel within easy reach of Tralee center. Nice rooms, good food. Would recommend Dott's bar/restaurant off the lobby. Interesting photographs of previous Rose Festival winners line the hallways.

Kerry Immigrants Support Group stayed in The Rose Hotel Tralee from Sunday 3rd to Thursday 7th March 2024. To say the experience that these 30 Irish Immigrants returning to their native home land recieved was amazing is an understatement, what we recieved was a Irish welcome, it was an Irish Céad Mile Fáilte "A Hundred Thousand Welcomes." A five Star experience from the beginning to end. The food was beyond delicious, such warm, hold hearty food, that igniated such strong feelings of home, family and togetherness. From arrival to departure the hospitality, shown by the friendly and helpful staff was unbelievable and the kindness made everyone feel that they were really "Home." No request was too big, they made our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. From the reception staff, housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff thank you all so much. To name but a few, Samir AKA "John", Aisling and Jennifer your warm personalities, with such kindness, friendliness, enthusiasm and most of all affection shown to our group, will forever be in our hearts. Thank you all for everything. We will be back, Please God.

Hotel lovely and clean. Staff very nice and friendly. Food was disappointing, ate in both bar and restaurant. Nice atmosphere in bar. Spa was nice and relaxing. Overall a lovely weekend. Could hear road traffic in room in the morning but not much traffic so it wasn’t overly noisy.

What a wonderful location, a boutique hotel at an incredibly affordable price with five star service located within a beautiful park walk from the center of town. It is hotels like this that bring back memories of a time long gone by where service and charm were of prime importance. The staff extend the natural southwestern charm of Ireland an extraordinary level and made us feel absolutely at home. Please reserve with full conference, this will be a memorable experience for you

Had a superb reception at The Rose Hotel recently. A 1st cousins reunion for 30+ attendees. The dining room & drinks reception area were tastefully decorated & perfectly prepared for our gathering. Great atmosphere to kick off the evenings events. Staff were brilliant delivering an exceptional service. AND THE FOOD, SUPERB. Well done to all the staff involved in the kitchen, including Odran and a special shout out to Jenny, Ines & Joao who looked after us so well, in the dining room. I’ll be back:) Very highly recommended.

We went to The Rose Hotel for our daughters confirmation. From start to finish the level of service was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and very obliging. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were a party of 29 people and from starters to the last course, the food came out promptly and how each person ordered it. There is no part that could be faulted. Credit to The Rose Hotel and the staff, this level of service can be hard to find. Thank you for making the day go off perfect. From Paudie & Caroline M
