Out of town location with nice countryside views. Room was small but adequate for an overnight stay. The only hotel on our staycation we couldn't use the bar facilities as guests, which was disappointing. Had dinner with friends there but we had to send our meals back as the steaks were overcooked. They came back cooked correctly but were no better than average.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 5 days, due to covid we used my starting college in tralee as an excuse for a staycation. The hotel public areas were kept immaculate plenty of hand sanitizer dotted around and one on every table in bar and breakfast area. Breakfast was on the ball every morning and the chap serving it was brilliant, i had leave early every morning so i found the 8am serving time just a lil tight for me. The missus got the full use so all good. Dinner in the bar was smashing although I had one small issue that was quickly sorted out and at no ill convenience to me. The hotel seems a mix and match of old buildings and new builds but it added to the character to it, the room was flawless, good strong power in the shower. Anything else was a bonus. Will definitely be back before the term is over. Thanks for having us

I won't deny, I was somewhat surprised by my experience at this quaint hotel. I did not have high expectations but what I experienced was friendly service, great views and the food was amazing. Best wings I've had in a long time and the teriyaki salmon is a stand out dish, highly recommend. Next time I'm passing through Tralee, I will for sure visit again

I've dined in Ballyroe several times over recent years and feel as of late the food has declined. I have to say the servers are as lovely as always and I can't fault them. Last week, I stopped in for dinner and saw that the menu had changed drastically since my last visit. Prices have increased too from what I could make out. I had chicken pad Thai and was very disappointed. Small portion, lacking flavour and just very average. I decided on a chocolate brownie for dessert and there was a very curious taste of onion/garlic from the brownie, I couldn't quite put my finger on it but definitely not a flavour I would want in a sweet treat. I feel like the menu and quality of food have taken a nosedive. After my recent experience I can't say I'll be back, with an increase in prices one would expect a much higher quality of food than what I received. Its a shame as I've always loved the coziness of the restaurant and the beautiful view.

Stayed here for two nights. Everything was perfect, Jessica on reception was a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much to ask for. Breakfast on both mornings was great, maybe could do with adding pancakes to the menu. We ate in the bar both nights and both meals were out of this world. Especially the chicken pad thai and the teriyaki salmon, my wife and I both commented on how good the quality of food was in this establishment and will be for sure come back to sample it again.
