We stayed at this place in mid-September 2022. We were running late and missed the check in time but Rory was kind enough to wait for us and check us in. The room was big and the bed was pretty comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling that area.
I had such a lovely stay here! The host was so welcoming and helpful! The property is beautiful and has such an historical story. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent!
Loved our step back in time to another era.....the house is stunning. Spacious room, with sitting area and super comfortable bed. Rory has added all the little extras that we love.....tea/coffee facilities in the room and bottled water.....thank you. No request is too much trouble for our host who even fulfilled my need for a wee 'frig in our room.....much appreciated and worked a treat for all it's size.....didn't know they made them that small :) The highlight of our stay was the amazing Irish breakfast....best we had in our 2 week jaunt around the green isle. Highly recommend you stay here!
The combination of the beautiful historic building and the warm, welcoming proprietor made for a fantastic stay in Tralee. Rory had great recommendations for a place to go watch the Hurling final, and he made us reservations at a nice restaurant for dinner. Then was the breakfast that was provided... incredible.
Lovely host and place. Good recommendations for restaurants/pubs/sightseeing. Everything is super clean despite the house being historic. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Superb experience. Thank you Ruairi, best of luck for the future.
We have stayed here before but just to summarise. Rory the proprietor is the epitome of Irish hospitality. Large, enthusiastic, helpful, warm and friendly and never stressed. He instantly made us feel at home and welcome, sorted out a table for our evening meal and then left us to get a few winks before we went out to eat as our journey had been a bit stressful ( fantastic recommendation and lovely meal, thanks Rory ! ). A great nights sleep in a lovely old room which was quiet and very comfortable. The following morning , the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and great to eat in a lovely old dining room. We have very fond memories of our stays at Castemorris House !!
Exceptional property to stay at, full of history and charm, from the moment you step through the front door into the grand lobby you instantly you know your somewhere special. If this wasnt already enough you receive the warmest of Irish welcomes from Rory to his home. After a sound nights sleep we had the full Irish (as you do😊) which will certainly keep you going for the rest of the day. All in all the place to stay at while in Tralee, thanks Rory we will be back !! Michael & Johanna
A marvelous place, with a host to match! We were there one night only, we should have stayed more Rory was great, giving potted history of the house, which in itself is wonderful. The breakfast was incredible, the best on our 2 week trip, it just kept coming, and the quality was not surpassed anywhere else. Thanks Rory!
One of the best B&Bs I’ve ever been in. Lovely Georgian townhouse with period furniture. Very hospitable. Excellent breakfast with fresh foods. Highly recommended. Take a superior King. Rooms have lots of space. Host gives good advice about local attractions and restaurants. We didn’t have the packed lunch, but it looked outstanding. We will definitely return one day.
Myself and my family (two young kids) had the pleasure of staying here in August 2021. Rory is it most amazing host and the service and breakfast was definitely the best we've had in any B&B in Ireland. Rooms were so cozy and pristine. We had a fantastic stay.
