Our family of 6 adults had 2 castle family rooms for 3 days and it was an amazing. The service, the food, the castle grounds all exceeded our expectations. We loved the castle dogs, the donkeys, and mini horse it added a lot of joy since we are animal lovers. It was conveniently located to Tralee, Dingle peninsula, and even ring of Kerry. We did Skellig Michael, Tralee Golf Club, and Dingle from here.

My group and I stopped at Ballyseede Castle for Afternoon Tea last week while driving through the area. WHAT A FIND! It was truly such a pleasure to drive upon this magical place with horses and donkeys greeting us followed by the adorable dogs of the property. Upon arrival we were greeted by Joe who sat us down for our afternoon tea. It was absolutely exquisite! We enjoyed classic finger sandwiches with wonderful twists like a truffle cream cheese cucumber sandwich, and Korean chicken BBQ sandwich. Just wonderful! The scones and lemon cake were delightful as were the sweets at the end. My favorite was the panna cotta! Joe and Doreen were both exceptionally hospitable telling us about the castle and its history when we asked! After our tea, we had a glass of wine at Pappy’s Bar and walked around admiring the property in the gorgeous day. We’ll definitely be back when visiting Ireland to stay for a few nights and get the true Ballyseede Castle experience! Thank you for an unforgettable afternoon!

We just returned to Florida after another amazing trip to Ireland. This is the fourth time we have stayed at the castle. We absolutely love Ballyseede Castle. We came upon it years ago and continue to return every chance we go over for a trip. Ballyseede never disappoints! The staff are the absolute best in customer service. They truly are the most helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are beautiful, as are the gorgeous grounds. The food is seriously outstanding!!! I always look forward to the meals there. Actually, I always look forward to everything about Ballyseede Castle. They have stayed consistent year after year. I know exactly what to expect and I am never disappointed. If you’re ever in Tralee, this is a perfect place to visit. Even if you just go for a meal & don’t stay in the castle. You’ll have an awesome experience!

LOVED this place so much! The staff was absolutely wonderful. Each morning breakfast we had amazing choices, everything was so tasty and Joe and Doreen made us feel at home every morning. They were so attentive and funny, we enjoyed them so much we had to have our photos taken with them, our wives actually teared up having to say goodbye. Rooms were unlike anything we have ever experienced from the view and cleanliness of the room to the amenities and staff. Close to a lot of attractions, restaurants and bars. Want to come back sooner than later!

We were in Ireland 12 days and enjoyed every stay but Ballyseed Castle was beyond our expectations. We spent three nights in the Castle with breakfast included. The breakfast had anything you could possibly want! We had a very special waitress, Doreen that made us laugh every morning with her unique humor. We were with another couple and she just started our day off with a smile. Our room was so comfortable and the view from it fabulous. Everything you could want in a room and more! We also had our drinks and dinner in the bar that had seating outside and what delicious food and great presentation! Dogs and donkeys a great addition and we enjoyed watching the robot mower. Can't say enough good about our stay, if your in Ireland don't miss this one and you'll want more than one night.

What an amazing experience from check in to check out! We were a Castle Superior Room for three nights with breakfast included. Joe was there every morning and he was not only a great server he had a wonderful sense of humor. So happy Joe was there the days we were, he made us feel like family! The food was superior, the room absolutely stunning as well as the entire hotel and grounds. Enjoyed the dogs, they were all so friendly. My wife and I have never had a more enjoyable stay!

Highly recommend. Such a beautiful place to stay. The grounds are amazing and we spent hours exploring the gardens and playing with the two very friendly dogs that belong to the hotel. The room itself was quite large, very unique and you know you are in a castle with the beautiful decor. We had breakfast in the Stone Room and it was delicious!!! i only wish we had stayed longer than the one night. it was not enough so i will be returning on our next trip.

Many thanks to the awesome restaurant staff during my visit: Joe, Stella, Doreen and Christina. They made sure that everything was done to perfection, and that my every need was met. I didn’t get their names, but Reception, the Bartender, and Housekeeping was first rate as well. And the castle Irish Wolfhound, Molly, was a comfort as well. Thank you!

We’ve stayed at castles all over Ireland, including Dromoland. Ballyseede is our favorite. Impeccably clean, beautifully appointed with fantastic food and grounds, it’s the best. One of the highlights was getting to know Doreen in the main dining room. She’s a delight. Fun, funny and great to be around. She’s one of the reasons Ballyseede is the best!
