We recently stayed at Barrow Lodge for 3 nights after travelling from the UK.From making the booking to our arrival, Clodagh was fantastic. Certainly the hostess with the mostest such a warm friendly welcome. The quality of the accommodation far exceeded our expectations, the rooms were exceptional. What a beautiful location too ideally situated quiet enough to get away from everything and perfect location if want to take in the sights of Kerry. 100% would stay here again and will be recommending this accommodation to anyone visiting Kerry.
My partner and I had an amazing and wonderful stay! Our room looked out over the water (which, I think all of them do) but the door also opened right up to a patio that was on the water's edge. We had planned to explore the area but mainly stayed in to gaze over the water and read our books until we got hungry. The room was beautiful, lush and functional with outlets and usb sockets in very convenient locations. There were pillows, duvets, blankets and chairs galore - it was just so comfortable. And the bathroom that came with it - a dream! The breakfast was delicious and the host made sure you were comfortable at all times. I can't wait to go back.
I’ve been traveling in Ireland for many years mostly on business. This small hotel has to be one of the best I have ever stayed in. The location is amazing right on the sea front. The rooms were beautiful well maintained and fantastic views. The owner Clodagh was so lovely and very friendly such a beautiful lady. Breakfast was excellent. For an evening meal the golf club only 10 minutes walk was was also excellent. I cannot recommend the Barrow high enough it’s absolutely superb.
Sometimes websites exaggerate the positives of their hotel or B and B,but in this case if anything it undersells itself. We chose it as we wanted to be near the sea,and frankly we couldn’t have been nearer. The view from our window felt as though we were on a ship. The room and bathroom were large and very tastefully furnished, with a bath as well as a shower, numerous towels, and little extras like fresh fruit, soft drinks and coolies. Clodagh the host was simply the best and most welcoming we have ever encountered.Nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was lovely and taken in a dining room with great views of the bay and the mountains. An elegant guest lounge, which we didn’t use was also available. This has to be the perfect place to unwind.Quiet with outstanding views yet only a few Kms from the Dingle Peninsular. I cannot recommend Barrow Lodge too highly.…
The accommodations were fantastic with stunning views across water and the mountains. The rooms were, perhaps, the finest appointed rooms in which I have stayed. Ever. Nothing was overlooked. The quality and intricate attention to detail is a direct reflection of the proprietor and hostess, Clodagh. What a kind and genuinely caring lady! She speaks English, French, German and Gaelic! Stay here once and you'll be back. OH...and be sure and check out the gigantic Newfie on the property. Somehow Clodagh has managed to magically convey her kindness onto her canine companion, who seemingly goes out of its way to provide comfort and let its guests know how pleased it is that you are there and genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay. What a great place and even greater hostess!
We stayed for 1 night and wished we stayed for longer. The room was in excellent condition and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and filled us up nicely for the day. Clodagh was a fantastic host and couldn't be more helpful. Words do not express how looked after we were and how relaxed we felt. Thanks Clodagh.
A wonderful small property, fantastic views. The bedroom we had number 14 was very modern and furnished to the very highest standards. The bathroom was super with soft towels and plenty of them. The breakfast was to die for, Clodagh the lovely lady who runs this place will prepair you a start to the day that will set you up. Without a doubt a place not to miss if you are in the area.
