We expected more for the price having read other reviews. The bed was uncomfortable & small. The room was fairly basic, dated but clean. Shower cubicle was small with iittle room to move. There was no tv or tea/coffee facilities which were available in other less expensive establishments. Hostess was very friendly and a very good breakfast was provided.

Shangri-La B&B was the perfect location for our night in Tralee. 6 weeks in to a 9 week holiday, Mary's hospitality was a refreshing change of pace. The room was spotlessly clean, and the facilities adequate for our needs. Breakfast was delicious, cooked fresh. Mary was helpful with dinner suggestions, and also advice on how to best continue our journey. The location is quiet and has lovely views from the property. We were caught out with not having cash for the payment, but this was easily sorted with a trip to a nearby ATM.

We're a couple from Austria and we stayed at the b&b for one night in september. The hosts are making a huge effort to make the stay as enjoyable as it could be. The room is quite small, but tidy and clean. Same thing goes for the bathroom. We had our breakfast with the other guests, which we enjoyed, because it gave us the opportunity to chat with a nice couple from the Netherlands. Accessing the b&b is rather difficult without a car. We had to take a taxi from the train station, which was only 10€, but still. The host immediatly offered us to take us back to the train station the next day, when we told her, we had to go by taxi, which was really nice. All in all a great stay and we would stay there again.

We were very disappointed with our stay at Shangri La. The room had a mouldy smell and one towel was actually dirty. We asked for cereal at breakfast and was offered the cereal in their already used boxes. For what we paid we expected better.

We stayed with Mary and her husband in late May, 2016 and they were very nice. The setting is really beautiful with a nice view of the water. The roses I am reading about were about ready to bloom and would have been lovely. Mary was very helpful in telling us about places to go and the small village close by for dinner. They both made us feel very welcome and served tea when we got there. Breakfast was really nice with a lovely view of the water. And Mary was very helpful with suggestions for our next day's route and even called out next B&B to be sure we got there. Very thoughtful. We very much enjoyed Mary and John both- they were delightful to talk with and so accommodating!!!! Thanks!!!!! Catherine and Julie

Lovely, quiet place to stay and rest. Hostess was very kind, supportive and well-informed. Clean and neat. Agree with other reviewers — the rose garden was brilliant! Breakfast shared with care. Easy parking.

This is such a lovely place with a beautiful view! And Mary, our host, really made us feel like family coming home. She had lots of advice for us that helped a lot in planning our activities around Tralee and Dingle. Needless to say, our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast had everything you could ask for. On our next trip to the Tralee area we will definitely be staying at Shangri-La again.

Lovely place, garden full of roses. The owner guided us in our trip (advising and explaining). Quiet room with shower and a good bed. You will be able to park your car inside the property. We recommand this place!

Clean room, ensuit, nice breakfast, friendly owner. Basically everything you need in a base to explore the area. The garden was beautiful, nice to come home to in the evening. Very reasonably priced. The one drawback was where it was situated, only a few minutes between Tralee and Dingle in a car, but wasn't within walking distance of the town if you were going out at night. Otherwise you couldn't ask for more. And there was a sea food restaurant really close, which is great because it's right on the coast.

Mary was great and very helpful. The rose garden is amazing. Have dinner at the nearby Oyster Bay Tavern. Have the home grown tomatoes for breakfast!
