We stayed there as a couple for one night. We were warmly welcomed by Josephine and Tom. The rooms are very beautifull and fully equiped. Everything is in very good state and tidy. The breakfast is great. I loved the pancakes. There is a nice forest trail next to the house.
We booked 3 rooms on August 9th to attend a family wedding in The Ballygarry House Hotel. We could not have been happier with our choice, the bedrooms have every facility a hotel has and were spotless, including the bathrooms, the guesthouse is literally a minute walk o the Ballygarry house, down a short lane, which was well lit! The Breakfast was better than any cooked breakfast we ve had in any hotel that we stayed in and the proprietors were welcoming and friendly ! Its a short distance from Tralee town and would be an ideal place to spend a couple of nights if touring Kerry! Have to mention the decor of the rooms and bathrooms are really pretty and rooms are very spacious, also the black pudding was fab! There is plenty of info and literature available about local…
What a fabulous B&B; immaculately clean, beautifully presented and set in lovely, well kept gardens. Just a short drive to Tralee town centre or a short stroll along the quiet road for a good restaurant. This is a great base for all the scenic drives of the area. There is a wooded walk just along the road too. Thank you so much Josephine & Tom for helping to make the Kerry part of our Ireland tour so memorable.
Knowing that the Cois Li was near the Ballygarry Hotel, we had little trouble finding it just down the lane. Tom welcomed us heartily and showed the three of us to our spotless rooms, which were decorarted cheerfully and tastefully in jewel colors. We walked the short distance to the Ballygarry Hotel Bar (unlike other reviewers, we did not attend any wedding there! The cuisine had been recommended by a friend in Killarney.) The beds in our large room were extremely comfortable. We met Josephine the next morning and she sent us on our way to Bunratty after providing us with a delicious and substantial breakfast. We especially liked the black pudding, but everything was tasty. We were grateful for a quite night's sleep at the edge of the country.
We were greeted with smiles by the owners, shown our room, given suggestions on where to go for dinner (grand hotel was a good rec). Room was perfect, bright and cheery and clean, two huge windows looking over the meticulously kept garden and very tranquil street. Breakfast great. We enjoyed staying in several B&Bs in Ireland and this topped the list. Perfectly located for base to explore Ring of Kerry, Dingle peninsula, or Co. Clare. If I were to re-plan our trip I would have stayed here several nights and done a little extra driving to those areas.
