My family and I have been staying at the Courtyard Cottages almost every year since 2009 and over the years it has become more like our second home. What's not to like about the CC? The warm welcome from Myra, the comfort of the Cottages, beautifully decorated in shades of soft grey. A proper working kitchen, freshly laundered crisp cotton sheets and large fluffy towels. As Coeliacs we were delighted with the gorgeous loaf of gluten free brown bread awaiting us as part of the welcome package. It is this attention to detail on Myra's part that makes you feel so at home. My daughter and I took a mini break at the weekend, despite orange warnings and a howling gale, with heavy rain on Saturday night, we never heard any of it, snug and securely cosy in our lovely cottage. The only downside was having to leave on Monday morning. We are heading back for a week in May and looking forward toward to it immensely. When you find somewhere like the Courtyard Cottages, you don't pass by. You keep coming back!…
What can I say about Myra and the team , from the moment I arrived it felt like a home from home and being away on business this is important. The cottage I have is clean, tidy and has all you need for a comfortable stay and open fire is a wonderful touch. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has all the mod cons. The view is outstanding and even the dog on site makes me smile with his antics For a holiday or short break you won’t be disappointed as Tralee and the local Kerry area has so much to give and only 10 mins from a blue flag beach. I’m back again for work in Jan but will bring the family here one day x
There were many personal touches added to make this a very enjoyable stay. Myra is an excellent host and we can’t wait to visit again. Cottage was very clean, taxi to town is 10e. Some lovely walks close by.
Myra’s Courtyard Cottages are a hidden gem... it was the perfect place for our week-long stay to visit Dingle, Killarney, Limerick and even the Cliffs of Moher. From Myra’s warm welcome with a roaring fire (after a very long & frustrating day of delayed flights & missed train connections) and bottle of wine to fresh scones, jam, butter, coffee, milk & eggs for our morning breakfast and all the lovely, homey touches of fresh flowers, we couldn’t have asked for a more hospitable, warm or lovely place to stay for our first trip to Ireland.
Spent a long weekend in Kerry and used courtyard cottages as a base, lovely host, brilliant spot and lovely accommodation. We were made to feel very at home as soon as we arrived, would recommend it as a base in the area.
