Came here at the weekend. Kilarney has some fantastic hotels and bars but this is certainly not one of them. Security staff overly aggressive and unhelpful. Bad taste off of pint, when I brought this to barmans attention I was told "tough ". Pity such a poor establishment is in the centre of such a great town
I would not recommend this place for a girlie weekend. The rooms were filthy dirty thick dust under the bed. The staff were not friendly or helpful. The bouncers were very rude when we came back to our room .
Brilliant and easy easy accommodation the young lady HayLey who we met on check in is a star very helpful and professional . would stay again . :)good clean rooms with a great bar down stairs . Good value for killarney and in centre of town thanks HayLey and staff much love
Stayed here on Friday night with friends for a concert nearby. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were basic but clean and great value for money. Downside the radiator didn't work in the room and still cold after making staff aware of this shortly after arrival. There was no hot water for showers the next morning. Look for a room at the back as we were woken at 7:30 by the council with leaf blowers (during a storm) just outside. Given the issues I would still stay here again but maybe in the summer when it's warmer!
On my most recent visit to McSorleys, a hotel im always happy to stay in. I was helped to the lobby of the hotel from the nightclub by a very kind and friendly bouncer, Tom. He went above and beyond to ensure that i got back to reception area to meet up with my friends as i was feeling very worse for wear. I always give a good review as im always happy. But Tom Stack thank you for looking out for me. I owe you a drink the next time im down.
Stayed one night midweek... was a bit dubious at first as you checked in at bar and lift to rooms was in bar.. room was basic but very clean had double and single bed very comfortable, plenty of storage, bathroom was spacious very clean, ample towels... returning back you had to enter thru bar to access lift, there was band playing and music goes on till very late so if you light sleeper may not be for you..you pay a €10 deposit for return of room key. no breakfast provided but it on college st so lots of eateries and a Spar supermarket on doorstep. Checked out again is done at bar... i would recommend for location, value for money midweek, safety... it may be a bit younger/noisier at weekend....
The accommodation was grand for what we were looking for. We Just wanted a place to stay at night after travelling. Good prices. Staff were friendly too. Right in the heart of killarney. The rooms were basic but you get what you pay for
We stayed in McSorleys while attending a wedding in Killarney. We knew we would only be in the room for a few hours so wanted something cheap, yet central. That's exactly what we got. However, there were a few downfalls.....there was a mouldy smell from the bathroom and the fact there is no reception was a little awkward (you check in and out at the nightclub bar).
Booked here very last minute as decided to stay in Killarney. Does what it says on the tin. It's a room with a nightclub downstairs. Once you're joining in the fun in the nightclub then you'll have a brilliant night's sleep! So so central and said pub downstairs is great craic. Rooms clean and bathroom is surprisingly big! So reasonable as well!! No parking, but across the road is a huge car park that's free after 5 until 8.30 the following morning.
This is only a place to stay in really if your on a drinking weekend getaway. Most certainly wouldn't recommend to families or people wanting a quiet weekend. Window is room wouldn't open at all so room was hot at times! Staff wouldn't be the friendliest but perfect for a drinking getaway
