Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Warm welcome from Sean on arrival outside then greeted at the door by Mary who showed us to our room and then offered us a cup of tea and coffee which came with her lovely homemade cupcakes. Mary advised local places to eat for dinner and which direction to drive around the Ring of Kerry along with other hints and tips, even offered to do our washing. The generous breakfast certainly sets you up for the day. Our immaculately clean room had views of the lake and the mountain and it is just a short walk to the lake, nice to do at sunset.

Our first night in Ireland and stayed one night here. We really wish we had booked more time at this lovely B&B.. This was such a beautiful location. Our room was amazing--best mattress I have slept on in a long time! The proximity to Killarney National Park is perfect for exploring. Mary and Sean are wonderful hosts. Upon our arrival Mary provided a fresh pot of tea and cookies and took the time to chat with us for a bit. She recommended a local restaurant for dinner which was perfect. Breakfast was delicious--loved the brown bread. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: This is a bed and breakfast, not a hotel. The room we had on the first floor was wonderful.

This was our first time ever staying at a B&B and it was perfect. The house is wonderful, the breakfast room is facing the lake and the lounge is very comfy. We stayed in a room on the first floor and the balcony had a breathtaking view of the National Park. The sunrise is just amazing. The hosts, Mary and Sean are the best hosts. They were very welcoming and Mary even drove us to the town a few times since we didn't have a car. All in all, it was a perfect stay for us.

The hosts were wonderful, the husband was just a bit hard to understand. Especially since my hearing isn’t the best. We had the balcony room you see from the front of the house. It was quite nice. I highly recommend requesting it. And the balcony and indoor chair behind the sliding door have a nice view of the lake. Beautifully decorated, and well equipped house. Just a stone’s throw from Lough Leane, and just down the road from the Gap of Dunloe. Try the gap at sunset. Very few people, and if partly cloudy, you can experience an amazing sunset all around you. I believe this is the one that shows as the wrong side of the road on Apple iOS Map app.

The Invicta B&B was tucked away near the lake with good views and superb hosts. It was quiet and serene. We enjoyed the evening coffee, tea, and cookies. Upon our arrival, the hostess provided freshly-baked cupcakes. The breakfasts were hearty and varied. The host and hostess were kind and attentive to our our needs. They offered guidance on restaurants and places to visit. The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable. Wifi was great.

This was my husband and my first trip to Ireland and we were advised to stay in a B&B as opposed to a hotel which we would normally choose. I'm so glad we did. Sean and Mary are two of the nicest, most helpful and salt of the earth type people. Their home is immaculate. The rooms are updated and very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was delicious and kept us full for all of our sight seeing adventures. The home is located very close to the ring of kerry, dingle peninsula, Killarney national park, and kate kearneys irish pub. The home has breath taking views and is very quiet and peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights and hated to leave. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Killarney!!

Looking for this B&B was adventure and totally worth it. The home is off the main path and is wonderfully quiet with a beautiful view because of this. Mary was so welcoming., the rooms completely comfortable, and Sean doted on everyone at breakfast. Mary was wonderful about recommending places (definitely take her up on her Kate Kearney's Cottage suggestion). I would stay here again whether on my own or traveling with others.

Five of us recently stayed at the Invicta - in two separate rooms. We found this b and b to be clean, comfortable and liked the location. Our hosts were kind and helpful. What more could you ask for in a b and b?

This place is definitely the nicest B&B we have stayed in yet on these holidays. The outlook is beautiful overlooking the Lough Lean, the owners are so obliging and even go above and beyond what is expected from a B&B. The breakfast is of a high standard and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. You should make the effort to look them up when coming to Ireland for a holiday. Thank you Mary for making our stay enjoyable.

The invicta is in a beautiful location! You are overlooking the mountains and incredible scenery. The breakfast was delicious, your traditional Irish breakfast. The hosts were wonderful and helpful. I would highly recommend the invicta if traveling in Killarney!
