I am leaving my review 23 years after I was there because back then I don't think there many review sites as today.
John and Kathy were the kindest people when I visited Killarney and stayed several nights at Larkfield House. Their prices were great and their hospitality was huge. I really appreciated them and their help. I was a young woman traveling the area by myself (my dream trip to the land of my ancestors), and they really helped me when I was stranded in Rosslaire because I missed the last train out that evening. I had booked their B and B ahead of time and was worried that because I wouldn't be arriving on the date I had planned since I was stranded overnight in Rosslaire, John reassured me that they would hold my room and be there to meet at the train station the next day when I arrived. It really put me at ease. And as they promised, they there at the train station in Killarney to meet me the next day. They gave me complimentary rides into town and the surrounding area, booked a tour of the Ring of Kerry for me. They were so super nice and tried help where they could. I loved the Irish breakfast each morning. They really helped me make some nice memories.

We had three nights here and it was great, the couple who run the b&b are truly amazing. The room is super clean, comfy beds, really nice shower and the breakfast is the best we had in Ireland. You can park your car safely at the front of the house. The hosts helped us with tips and nothing was to much!! Definitely loved it and go back there again. 💖

This is one of the nicest bed & breakfast places that I have ever been in. John and Cathy are two lovely people. We were treated like family. Bed was comfy and breakfast was excellent and catered for my gluten free diet. Nearest pub is 10 minutes walk away. We will stay here again next time we visit Killarney.

We spent 3 nights at John and Kathy's house in Killarney and they are truly the kindest, most welcoming people you will ever meet. They work tirelessly to accommodate their guests. You can tell that they really care. Our room was very comfortable, cozy, and incredibly clean with a beautifully updated bathroom. Kathy refreshed the towels every day, even when we said she didn't need to, while John cooked us enormous Irish breakfasts every morning. They also provide a generous selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and charcuterie. John even offered to drive us in to the center of Killarney, but we walked instead (to burn off those big breakfasts!). If you are looking for a good home base for exploring Kerry and Dingle, you can't go wrong with Larkfield House, and meeting John and Kathy will be a highlight of your trip. The world would be a kinder, gentler place if more people were like them.

I stayed three nights with John and Kathy and had a really wonderful time. The room was lovely and light, the bed was comfy and the ensuite was a good size. Everything was very clean. John and Kathy could not have been more friendly and obliging - they provided a delicious breakfast each morning, great conversation, and helped me plan and book my activities for the day. They were more than happy to share their firsthand knowledge of the area and even picked me up from the train station, etc. I would definitely stay again.

For our first visit to Killarney we decided to book this highly rated accomodation and we were certainly not dissappointed. Kathy and John were extremely welcoming and instantly made us feel at home. The room was spacious, very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was efficiently served and the selection outstanding. 10/10!!

We were in Killarney the day after our wedding for a coach tour of the ring of Kerry. Unfortunately after traveling all day, when we got off the coach at 5pm we discovered that the original hotel we had planned to stay at didn't have a room for us and turned us away... I'm also 6 months pregnant ... this is sounding like a very familiar tale! However we didn't have to sleep in a stable, because we found Larkview online and booked via booking.com. From the minute we turned up on the doorstep John and Cathy were amazing hosts, offering to take us into the town center as we didn't have a car and able to answer all our questions. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was delicious. I really felt at home. We are already planning our next trip down. Thank you so much!

John and Kathy are fantastic hosts, so welcoming. We were on a motorcycle trip around Ireland. The rooms were excellent and very well equipped. Breakfast was first class in quality and quantity. Both our rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. I also loved that in the welcome pack, John & Kathy included a friendly reminder to be mindful of the noise that you make - which I wish other establishments would do too!
Breakfast was fabulous - with plenty of buffet options, as well as eggs or pancakes.
John & Kathy were really welcoming, and gave some great advice regarding itinerary and things to do.
We would absolutely stay here again!

Very nice host who provided lot of suggestions, very friendly and willing to assist their guests. Quite close to the city center with private car parking. In the morning you will find a very good breakfast. I do reccomend.
