Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Exceptional We had an overnight stay at the Killarney Fairview Hotel very recently. We have stayed here on several occasions in the past 10 years. It is an outstanding property with wonderful staff both Front of House and Breakfast staff. A very special mention to Anne Hayes and to Thank her for her dedication and hard work and her Kindness towards her guests. Now to James The Proprioter, you run a Fabulous Hotel and your dedication is part of the success of your Hotel. From someone that is in The Hospitality business for nearly 40 years I feel that some of the reviews against James is very unfair and hurtful. The customer is not always right and maybe if people listened to their parents and what was instilled into us If you have nothing good to say about someone say nothing at all. Looking forward to our next stay. M & T. Dingle.

The man at the reception desk should be put out to pasture. Extremely rude. Interrupted conversations, condescending attitude and generally self centred. The other staff members were fantastic, especially Ann. What a wonderful person. Charming, engaging and a stark contrast to Mr Grumpy!

Just returned from a weekend stay at The Fairview in Killarney. Have been staying at this fabulous b and b boutique hotel for over twenty years now. Breakfast is excellent. You would never leave the table hungry. Would like to thank James, Shelley, Ann and their wonderful staff for making my stay so enjoyable.

You'll have a hard time trying to find fault with this hotel! Stayed for 1 night and it was absolutely perfect. Very well prized, great location, beautiful room, nicest bed I've ever stayed in, gorgeous breakfast and lovely staff. In a world of declining accommodation standards, this is bucking a trend!

Accommodation is ideal for anybody walking and exploring for the duration of their stay. A stones throw from some of the best restaurants and pubs in Killarney town. The big red bus stop that takes you to some of Killarney’s best loved sites is just a five minute walk away. Warm, friendly check in with some great tips for getting around from Jim, who also helped me recover a lost item that I left behind, once I returned home. Waiting staff were particularly attentive and breakfast was delicious with some great options. The ladies who served us both mornings were so good to us. I didn’t get their names but they’re a credit to the hotel. Our room was beyond clean with a jacuzzi bath and an exit onto a lovely patio filled with plants and a table and chairs. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Killarney. The hotel itself is a charming, wee gem. Thank you so much to the Fairview team for a great stay!

Without a doubt, one of the best hotels we have stayed in before! Everyone was so welcoming to all of us, including a 90-year old woman who was travelling with us. Everything was so accessible for her, with lifts to everything she could need in the hotel. The breakfast was lovely each morning and the rooms was so comfortable and spacious. We will definitely be back!

Friendly check in, nice room, superb location. Shower is poor but nice space in ensuite. Bedroom was really hot so turned rads off and opened windows. Had to close windows to sleep thou as extractors going continuously in kitchen or some other room. We could not sleep at all with the heat and extractor that was going. Bed had the plastic back mattress protectors and they make for a hot bed also, but we understand the need for them. Breakfast was lovely and staff there really nice. Not asked on checkout how our stay was so didn't bother saying out unfortunate problems.

Incredible hotel! Great service from the hotel staff especially Jim who was very pleasant on the front desk. Very impressed with the penthouse suite, the room was spacious, with the most comfortable bed, and the jacuzzi was lovely. Thanks to all at the fair view hotel for the experience

Love love love this specialty boutique hotel. Situated in the heart of the city center, it’s charming, upscale but not ridiculous. Price is fair and the added breakfast option sealed the deal. 10/10 ⭐️. Liliana in the restaurant was stellar (and it was her first day taking orders!). I left my passport and cash in the nightstand drawer - came back a few hours and the housekeeper had turned it into the reception desk fully intact. This is one of the best local gems in Killarney. Highly recommend for personal or family visitation travel.
