We stayed at the Fairview as a family of 3 and totally fell in love with this place and would highly recommend it. The hotel and rooms are quite luxurious to begin with, and to top it off we took an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi upon arrival, which was well worth it! But what we liked the most was the staff. They were all lovely folks who helped us with anything we needed at the drop of a hat. I also absolutely have to mention the breakfast, which was unbelievably delicious. I can honestly say they were the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life. I would literally come back for the breakfast alone! Can’t forget the perfect location either, which is right in the center of an awfully charming town with loads of nice cafés, pubs, and sights to see. Likewise, Killarney is in the perfect location to explore county Kerry. It’s only a short drive to the Killarney National Park, with sites like the amazing Ross Castle, so I would totally vouch for this town and this hotel if you are ever planning a trip to southwest Ireland.…
The Fairview was an excellent choice for a family visit to Killarney, offering rooms for up to four adults. The staff were all friendly and helpful, offering tips on the best routes and times for local excursions, calling ahead to restaurants for us, etc. The room was nice, and the breakfast, which was included, was great. The location is also very central. It’s just a short walk to the train station, rental car office, restaurants and shops.
Well me and my partener stayed for 2nghts and we were VERY VERY HAPPY with everything ,,,Room, Hotel, Position, Breakfast, Staff it was all lovely for us and we,ll stay here again definitely Staff were amazing I left my shaving kit home an they supplied with a shaving kit FREE OF CHARGE I was amazed and greatful couldn’t fault the Htel
This hotel was a delight to stay at. James was in attendance at all hours. He was the person to go to for all your needs and he efficiently attended to them pleasantly. I was travelling alone without a car yet had a wonderful time sightseeing beautiful Killarney. Thank you James. The hotel was comfortable, I was able to have a quiet drink in the bar or enjoy the bars, restaurants and cafés nearby. I even managed mass at the very inviting church 3 minutes up the road! My room was always serviced and I enjoyed having a quiet tea or coffee on the comfortable lounge in my room. This was a treat. Breakfast was served and there was a good range of healthy choices. Loved the Irish breakfast.
Our family stayed at the Fairview Hotel for a family wedding that was being held in town. Once we walked into the doors, Jim greeted us with a joyous 'hello' and was so very helpful and made the check-in process so easy! Once we got into our room, it had a great view of Lewis Road as well as College Street. They provided the room with a fan to help cool down during a heatwave the country had been experiencing. Each morning there is a continental breakfast unlike any other that my family has been to. The entire wait-staff, especially Shelly, Marie, and Mary, were so sweet and were so helpful to us. The food was truly outstanding; whether it be pancakes, waffles, Eggs Benedict or an Irish Breakfast, everything came out piping hot and was so delicious. Before the meal, the waitresses would come by with croissants, muffins, or other pastries. All were so fresh each morning! We were lucky to have such an awesome room service team, including Ann and Marie, that were excellent each day we were there and were so kind each time we saw them. The family feel of this hotel is unlike any other we had been to. Many hotels of this caliber have a 'corporate' feel to them. The Fairview Hotel made us feel like family the moment we walked into the door until the moment we checked out. The location of this hotel is perfect. It is situated in the middle of the town with access to many different bars, restaurants, and shops. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Killarney.…
I stayed at this wonderful family owned boutique hotel with my two sisters and we were delighted with our stay from the minute we walked in the door until we left ....Everything was so tastefully presented , from the décor ,the beautiful breakfast and the warm genuine Kerry welcome...It was a true home from home ( only better ).While our spacious bedroom faced the street front, it was perfectly quiet and very restful. The hotel itself is within comfortable walking distance to everything. Killarney town is a beautiful place with many attractions but for us, the highlight was the Fairview Hotel. .................Best regards. Catherine
The Fairview is a perfect place to stay. The place is immaculate, the hospitality is genuine, the breakfast was terrific and location cannot be beat as it is in the heart of the town. We walked everywhere. To top it all off, it is a family owned business that would rival the Ritz Carlton. No kidding.
This family owned hotel is wonderful. The family “staff” are welcoming and will help you out with any questions you have. The breakfast was amazing, the pub next door has live music and was so much fun. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a home away from home❤️
We recently stay at the Fairview for 2 nights and it is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel!! The gentleman at the front desk was unfriendly from the time we got there. The room was incredibly hot upon arrival and the description for the hotel said that the hotel had Air-conditioning. When we called down to ask about the AC, we were told some story about Covid cases being up, that the city said hotels should not being using their AC. I personally walked into 3 other hotels while there and all 3 properties had their AC on in their guest rooms so be aware that this property turns off their AC in their rooms when they want to I guess. Ann, who we spoke to did bring up a fan for the room. There were no waters in the room so we had to ask for them and it was hot throughout the night so none of us slept great! The toilet would not flush properly and you have to pay 3euros to park down the street. The room decor was hideous as well and beds were awful! The breakfast and location of the property were the only good parts about the stay!…
Superb hotel & staff ! Made feel very welcome and hotel is right in centre of town and close to everything. Would definitely come back. Loved my stay. Had 2 teenage girls & elderly dad who also enjoyed. Staff couldn’t be more attentive. Thank you !
