Words cant describe how much me and my family love the Brehon, so much so, we choose not to stay anywhere else. We have been regular guests to this hotel for the past number of years, Just having returned from our recent stay yesterday, we would like to thank the Brehon for providing us with complimentary chocolates in the room on arrival with the complimentary later check out time. This hotel clearly cares about its guests, every staff member we meet in the hotel from reception, bar staff to the cleaners, everyone is professional with great customer service skills and we also like the fact that the staff gives their guests privacy and space and unlike other hotels of the same rating or more, they are not intrusive.
To describe our stays, where to begin, first of all not only is the hotel situated on a quiet road but it is also not entirely too far away from the town. To describe the building from the outside the word magnificent comes to mind, to also rings true upon entering the building, it has a lovely spacious foyer with seats by cosy looking fires to relax in. Reception is always efficent and fast, our rooms are always ready on arrival. The rooms are the ultimate in luxury, always clean, I just love the spacious modern bathroom even the shower hose provided onto the bath makes a huge difference to me as I can easily wash my hair in the mornings without having to step into the shower to do so, its little things like these matter.
Even though during our recent stay the hotel was fully booked, we still got a very good nights sleep as the hotel guests remained quiet through the night.
The breakfasts here are superiour and excellent, there is a breakfast menu available as well as a buffet, the buffet has everything you could possibly want.
We spend a lot of time in the vitality suite as this is free use to hotel guests and you can spend a long as you want in here, it is always clean and so relaxing, being free to use makes such a huge difference as you are not under pressure to leave by a certain time, I hope the hotel always keeps it this way, it is our little piece of heavan.
The bar is always relaxing and drinks are reasonably priced. There is always a lovely cosy, quiet atmosphere which we love.
And to top it all, we always find our stays here are at a very reasonable rate, even nearly at the same price of lesser hotels and for all you can avail of at the Brehon, it is just truly amazing. In my opinion, it definately far excels its four star rating. For anyone who hasnt stayed here before, I cannot highly recommend enough, the place is faultless and encompasses everything a luxury hotel should be, if not, it goes beyond that. It is the prefect 'escape' for relaxing and unwinding be it winter or summer. We are looking forward to returning here again in the future.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Brehon for two nights. We had a very nice time! I have to say the hello appears to be going above and beyond the call to ensure guests are as safe as possible while they are staying there.
The room was very large with a beautiful cavies our over Killarney National Park. We requested the room to be cleaned on our second day and this was done straight away. The bed was very comfortable. Soft furnishings had been removed to make the room as Covid free as possible, yet it still felt very cosy. It has a modern tv with hdmi port so we could plug in the laptop to watch movies.
We dined in the bad and we were very happy with the food. It was a little costly for what they were offering but all the same we enjoyed it.
They are doing their best to keep the spa and pool as safe. It feels like you’re missing out by the sauna and other rooms being closed, however they come in to sanitise every 45 minutes which is just fantastic service.
We would happily return. We paid 318 to stay for two nights and I would regard the stay we had as excellent for that price. Thanks Brehon staff!!

Absolutely loved this hotel. Beautiful lobby, staff were amazing and always cheery. By far the best breakfast buffet ive ever had. Complimentary bath robes and slippers in a spotless room,Plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits which were topped up the next day along with clean towels and paul costello toiletries. Lovely bed and heated room. Bus service 2 mins away at glenn eagle hotel for 2 euro and brings you straight to town.
Cannot fault this hotel in anyway. We stayed in 234 and would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Myself and my Boyfriend booked into the Brehon for the last 2 nights of our stay in Killarney I feel bad writing this review as I usually don’t if I haven’t got anything great to say about it, but the price was hefty at €377. After seeing it on an influencers social media posts recently it looked very luxurious but I honestly felt like we were in a different hotel. The reception area was gorgeous but the room felt so dated. The room was not cleaned/ no clean towels were provided during our stay, considering we had stayed in another hotel the previous nights for half the price where our rooms were cleaned daily this was very surprising. Had a meal at Danu on our second night and the food seemed reheated it was on our table about 5-10 mins after ordering..it was also near impossible to get the waiters attention to order drinks throughout our meal. I’m really surprised reading all of the raving reviews here. Might be a lesson for myself to not be fooled by influencer marketing but please also ensure you are giving your paying customers the same experience...

This was my first ever stay in The Brehon and I have to say I give it 5 stars.
From the minute I booked my weekend on-line every detail went smoothly.
The Covid-19 protocals were excellent with everything pre-booked i.e. breakfast, vitality suite etc.
Only one room at a time in the lift, masks worn in public areas and sanitisation stations places all over.
The staff were outstanding, friendly and very welcoming.
The food was delicious (we are in the bar on both nights).
I actually couldn't fault The Brehon in any way and would highly recommend it to family and friends.
The weather was also stunning.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights from the 20th - 22nd January and couldnt fault this lovely hotel.
We came here for a short stay as it was close to home from clare.
From the moment we checked in, we were amazed with the reception/lobby area and went straight our room which was also lovely and spacious and had a wide comfy bed and the room was also well equipped with bath robes and slippers, tea and coffee facilities and a mini fridge also while the bathroom had both a huge shower and a bath aswell.
It was our anniversary and the hotel kindly place a little dessert plate with a little note in the room upon arrival to the surprise of my boyfriend, it was a nice touch.
We ate both nights in the hotel bar rather than driving down town, trying to find something to park and enjoyed having a few drinks in the lobby instead of driving back. I had the chicken curry both nights and the consistency of the food both for the bar and breakfast each morning was superb. We both had desserts each night and the last night I tried the selection of ice cream with jelly, fruit and crushed nuts, I couldn't finish it and passed the rest over to himself as it was the portion size was generous and a decent size with 4 scoops of ice cream.
We attended breakfast both mornings and was on Tuesday morning we were greeted with a gentleman with glasses and ran through the breakfast system with us and was asking where we were from and ended up talking about hurling 😆 the ambience of the breakfast room was nicely laid out and very relaxing and comfortable with a lovely table set up. The food itself consisted of a cold and hot buffet where u help yourself and tea/coffee is brought too u. I was taken back by how plentiful the continental buffet was as there was every type of food there u can imagine and several types of fruit bowls, juices, smootheies, homemade granola bars, pastries, muffins and fresh honey, I couldn't wait to have breakfast again the following morning. The hot buffet had a very good choice also and the sausages stood out the best as they were real and very tasty where ever they are sourced from. The food here in this hotel is spot on!!!
The staff in the bar both evenings were great, the bubbly girl Monday evening with blonde hair and the other girl on Tuesday evening with dark hair who let my boyfriend sample two different types of beers before choosing and a good man behind the bar who made me a delicious cocktail also.
We availed of the pool Tuesday evening after our exploring of killarney for an hour and a half and this is defo worth taking a visit. It's well set up with the pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and an ice shower if u are brave enough to bear it 😀
First time staying here and I like to think I'll be back again and would highly recommend it 😊

We stayed in the Brehon for two nights, we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff we very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel safe throughout the stay. All the safety and hygiene protocols were adhered to and we felt very much at ease after seeing the effort they have put in to follow the new guidelines.
Our room was amazing and had the most beautiful views over Killarney National Park. The bathroom was stunning and had a Jacuzzi bath!! We ate in the restaurant and bar during our stay, the food was amazing in both. Breakfast too was very well set up with table service available with a wide range of choices.
We have stayed in the Brehon numerous times and each time we are so impressed, this is our favourite place to stay in Kerry.

We spent one night at the Brehon after a day exploring the Dingle peninsular. The hotel is modern, well-maintained and well-appointed. The lobby has a series of cosy couch zones, the main restaurant is a welcoming space and the lobby bar was very popular during our visit.

We dined at the bar. The meal was a standard pub meal. Everything was prepared and presented as you’d expect, and the staff worked hard to deliver attentive and timely service despite a full house. The room was comfortable with plenty of room and bright, spacious bathroom.

Breakfast was genuinely impressive. A fresh and varied spread, plus hot "cook to order" options. It was hosted in the main restaurant. This venue is cleverly laid out with plenty of intimate dining spaces. This arrangement gives any meal a wonderful sense of occasion including the breakfast we enjoyed.

We were concerned about being based out of the centre of town. However, this didn't prove to be an issue, especially in the middle of winter when the weather is a little too bleak for exploring the neighbourhood. It was only a couple minutes into town by car on a wide road (but too far to comfortably walk). However, the Brehon’s location puts you closer to Muckross House and Killarney National Park’s most breath-taking scenery. Ross Castle is also just minutes away.

Time & time again we are always drawn back to this hotel. The food, the cocktails, the vitality suite, the rooms, the service - all are second to none. Due to lockdown this was our first time visiting this year & we couldn’t believe how smoothly everything ran. Staff were constantly sanitising handrails in the pool area, tables and seating areas and all staff were always friendly, helpful and one step ahead in terms of customer service. The place felt so safe and comforting. We were particularly impressed on this occasion by the menu in the bar & the food that was served there. Absolutely gorgeous. We ate lunch x 2 and dinner there & still had more things that we wanted to try! The curry was amazing & served in a way that I haven’t seen before! The manager of this hotel must be very proud of how flawlessly everything runs in times like this, from service in the bar to treatments in the spa there is nothing that I wouldn’t recommend

. Location and exterior of the hotel are excellent . Lovely stroll to town and Killarney National Park .

We booked a deluxe superior room so was disappointed with the room nothing like the picture the view is overlooking at someone back garden with building works and others cars coming in the drive . The bedroom was dark with purple curtains which I hate the colour of purple was expecting cream interior as shown in the photo on the website . Our bed was two single beds together which again room describe king bed. Bathroom is spacious but very old fashioned having finished the shower it was standing in a puddle water doesn’t flow away . The room could do doing up .

Bar food and drinks good.

The spa was lovely and we enjoyed our treatment.

Ate in Danu restaurant for breakfast and two dinners. On the first we only got the same menu at the bar so I made enquiry and the manager made sure we got the other menu and we really enjoyed our meal on the second time . Good choices for coeliacs .

Check out very smooth .

Will return but I will request a room with a nicer view
