Detailed Reviews

This campsite is nothing short of fantastic. The pitches are flat with electric hook up. The grounds are kept immaculate & the toilet & shower facilities are absolutely luxurious.
If I had to nit pick, and it really is not picking, I would say the road noise is a little bit louder than I would like. But, I use ear plugs at night anyway so, it's really not an issue.
Fossa is a perfect base to explore Killarney & surrounding areas without being "in the thick of it" all the time.
This place is an easy 10/10 from me.

First time camping here and safe to say we will definetly be back! On arrival met with Derry, very friendly and helpful and then showed us to our spot. We pitched our tent for a few night, free electric hookup and had the courts and playground right beside us! We were camped near the main road which wasn’t a problem, didn’t hear traffic throughout the night! The facilities are kept spotless, seen the staff venturing around a few times each day cleaning. Showers are free and the campers kitchen kept tidy. It was a perfect base to explore Killarney, Tralee and dingle. We will be back next year for some more exploring 😊

Cannot recommend Fossa camp site enough. A real credit to the lovely owner here. The walks into Killarney are beautiful, with lots of deer to spot along the way, also a huge playground that you'll pass. There's a bus route also that will stop outside. The walk to the Killarney golf and angling club is also recommended, with more deer all over the place and beautiful veiws of the lakes and mountains. The club house is lovely. Also the golden nugget a short walk is worth a visit. It's 33 a night with 3 euro extra for upto 2 children but so worth it, there's showers included, water tap on each hard stand, campers kitchen and dining area, 2 pool tables, tennis court and small play ground, great base to enjoy Killarney

Arrived Sun 31st for 1 night in campervan, met by Derry who is very welcoming and shown to our pitch.
Showers are basic but clean, the toilet block is spotless and the sinks have dividers for extra privacy.
The pitches are very close togeather no extra space for anything, kids running and playing and no sign 'Children at play' at the entrance and the campsite is literally on the side of a busy main road.
Didn't see the playground but did see a tennis court .
We didn't use the campers kitchen as we ate in Killarney. We were attending an event in the INEC so taxi in to the town was an issue getting so wouldn't recommend if you have plans in Killarney and are not driving in, the taxi is approx 20 euro.We arrived back at 1am site was pitch dark very poor lighting used my mobile phone ight to walk to toilet block and one caravan had music playing.
The site is basic and very clean but I wud prefer to be closer to amenities as no shop.

This is an excellent campsite the owner is so nice & helpful. It’s an excellent base to visit Killarney & surrounding area. Entrance to National park is just down the rd where there is miles of cycling/ walking paths .
Showers are free & campsites is very fairly priced even offering a 6th night free. When the owner realised that my husband wasn’t with us for 3 nights of our stay he had to (return home for work, )he refunded €18. I was delighted such a nice touch! They have a coffee van most days & woodfired pizza van two nights per week very nice .
We definitely will be back

Myself and my partner visit Killarney every year from Kilkenny. It is out favourite place to go on days off or holidays. We have decided to stay in this fabulous camp from Friday to Sunday for a fantastically affordable rate. We stayed on the hill which is so quiet and relaxing spot to camp especially for couples getaway. The camp has water stations easily accessible and free of charge. The showers are token operated and one token will last about roughly 15/25 minutes. The showers and toilets in general are spotless. The electricity and cables for tents/campervan are provided. The owners are lovely and extremely accomodating. I highly recommend this camp for a getaway without a doubt. I can't wait for the restrictions to ease so we can book our usual spot again ❤️

Very easy to book onlime with different options for your stay, we stayed on a hard pitch for campervan with loads of room for an awning.
Met by the owner of the site who is a gentleman, he showed us around after giving us flyers of activities we asked about around Killarney.
The site has free hot showers, kitchen/eating area which is more than big enough for your needs, playground for kids, toilet area, all of which are very well kept and maintained and from what i saw are cleaned every few hours.
Will definitely stay again, Chris Ryan

Love this park, 3rd time here recently and every time we are made feel so welcome by the owner Derry . Mobile homes are spotless, park is beautifully kept/run and there is a tennis court/playroom and play park on site aswell as a restaurant above reception , which is well worth a visit for breakfast alone ! Very close to lots of activities/town center. I love coming here and 'Derry from Kerry' is always so accommodating. Thanks so much again Derry , we'll be back !!

We camped with two small children. The campsite is very family friendly and has all the amenities you could need - playground, tennis court, games room, toilets, shower rooms, laundry facilities, equipped kitchen - and all are really well kept. Staff are cleaning throughout the day so cleanliness is a top priority. Owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. Lots close by and a great base for Killarney and the wild Atlantic way. Highly recommend staying here. We'll be back

Stayed for 10 nites in our caravan with awning for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Great campsite, clean safe and a lovely atmosphere here too. Derry was extremely kind and friendly. Hard stand Sites can be a little tight to get to but everything else was amazing. When walking or dog on site it was amazing to see people in full PPE GEAR, cleaning the mobiles so it would reassure anyone looking to rent a mobile that they are cleaned to a very high standard. I couldn’t tell you what they look like though on inside. Also u get one nite free when u stay 6 nites which is great. Pizza place who comes here Wednesday, Friday and Saturday has the most beautiful pizza . €12 each but lovely and better again she does GF Pizza so my 13 year old had pizza every nite she was here. Would highly recommend anyone staying here. Great base. We went to Inch beach, Rossbeigh Beach, Torc Waterfall, Killarney Lake Boat Trip, Ross Castle , the furthest any of these were the 2 beaches , about 40 mins drive . Inch was the favorite with my teenagers as u can drive ur car right into beach and sit next to ur car and surf boards were €5 per hour to rent. Lovely restaurant on beach too if looking for food and shop sold ice cream etc.
Would definitely return to this amazing camp site.
