It was horrendous! No hot water, no towels, no heating! No reception staff after last couple checked in. Left to our own devices. Awake all night with the room next door fighting and slamming doors from 1a.m. until 6a.m. Felt like we were in a prison and had to put chair up to our door because it felt so unsafe.
We had a party for our Irish friends/family after getting married abroad here a few weeks ago. We had dinner here, stayed for drinks and spent the night. The food was great and the service was very good. The staff were great about us having music and we had such a great time. The manager, Patrick, is very nice and super helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. Overall, it was such a great night and we had a fantastic time!
Great service and friendly staff. When your only complaint is that you get too much food - that says it all. Had the nicest cheesecake of my life here - orange citrus. Staff were very accommodating for us needing a low table. Thank you
Location a bit out of the way. But if travelling from/to Cork and Kerry a good place for a stop to eat or stay. Staff very attentive and friendly. Service efficient. Good choice on menu. Presentation of food good. Quality very good. Prices acceptable.
Stopped on our way to Killarney for some food. Sat outside as we had our dog with us. They were so helpful and accommodating brining out some beef ends for the dog. The food was lovely and would definitely recommend to all and we will be stopping in again.
We used to love going here on a weekly basis, however, since Covid, as with a lot of places, the prices have shot up. We don't mind paying a fair price for a good meal, but this has just become too expensive now, which is really disappointing as we used to love calling in.
Had dinner here with a few friends, we had it booked just to make sure we could get a table with only outdoor dining being permitted due to Covid. The staff are lovely, friendly & helpful. Our food was amazing full of flavour & plentiful. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant & looking forward to returning soon. Parking is ideal & it’s ideal for families
A group of family booked this for an evening meal. The food was delicious from starter through to desert. Place is spotless. All the staff wearing face shields. Staff were fantastic, particularly a young girl called Oriana. Superb table service, promptness and so friendly and such wonderful manners. Best customer service I have had in a long time. Worth a visit on your way to Killarney. I will be back very soon. 5 star service.
Stopped off for a bite of lunch after a lovely few days away in Kerry. Have eaten here many times but it is NOT what it used to be. Firstly , staff were not wearing masks or face shields. Older gentleman (maybe owner/manager) had a shield which was not properly pulled over his face. Bar was grubby , uncleared tables, yet it wasn’t busy. Had a couple of toasted sandwiches which were ok . But the chips was awful . I mean vile ! Tasted like the oil they had been cooked in had not been changed in months ! Kids had baby bowl (ok) and goujons & chips. My daughter didn’t eat the chips they were that bad ! Unfortunately won’t be stopping here again for a bite to eat. Will travel on to Ballyvourney in future and eat there. Ye really need to comply with the Covid regulations guys & also clean up the bar !! Not acceptable ! …
Ate here today with my husband and two children and had a delicious meal. Ordered the mushroom soup for the two adults and the children ended up wolfing down a good bit as it was so delicious, and one if them doesn't even like mushroom soup. I had butternut squash risotto and was apprehensive as I have never had it before. It was absolutely gorgeous. Husband had scampi which was perfectly done and delicious. Younger child had half roast, very generous portion which he ate most of. Elder child had nachos which were a bit disappointing, plain nachos with melted cheese on top and a nice salsa and guacamole. He enjoyed it but was maybe expecting more in terms of sauce. The lady who served us was lovely, helpful without being intrusive. The decor was lovely and the toilets were spotless. Very reasonable price at €63.00 for a very tasty meal. There was an elderly couple beside us eating, I'm guessing locals and my husband said that when the waitress (only one there) brought them their meal, she cut up the meat for the elderly lady, which I thought was a lively lovely thing for her to do. Yes the service was a bit slow, a bit of wait time between courses but the food was obviously very fresh and the waitress was on her own. I couldn't fault the place. …
