Situated across from a 24 hour garage which is a meeting point for people who sit around revving engines. "Deluxe" room comes with a fan to try to cool the room as the noise makes opening a window impossible. Despite the fan and turning off the radiator, the room was stifling, in January. The one advantage to the fan was to act as white noise to drown out the snoring which could be heard through the thin walls, sadly the fan was not big enough to drown out the noise from outside. To top everything off, the shower was not fully clean. The worst hotel experience we have had in Killarney.

My husband and I stayed at the Dromhall hotel for two nights in November with our 6 month old. I cannot explain how lovely the whole trip was. From the minute we arrived nothing was too much trouble. Our daughters bottle were kept at reception and accessable at any time. Our room was absolutely beautiful a 6ft bed,, TV, huge rainfall shower, fireplace and a travel cot already there for our daughter. The food at breakfast and at the bar was gorgeous, we ate there both nights and honestly didn't expect it to be as nice as it was. We also used the pool which most hotels in Killarney wouldn't allow with a baby. The staff here are so lovely the friendly atmosphere is apparent the minute you walk in the door. The manager Paul was lovely and I wish I could remember the other staff members by name. Myself and my husband will definitely be back here

I could not fault the hotel other than the breakfast which really let it down. Staff were so friendly and helpful, dinner in the bar was outstanding both evenings. Breakfast was very very poor. I am coeliac and the GF bread they provide is cheap and very unpleasant. I was offered GF sausages which were almost inedible. My boyfriends breakfast was very basic and small. I’d advise eating out of the hotel for breakfast. Really disappointing, however all other aspects of the hotel were lovely. Great location, very comfortable and staff are amazing

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post your review following your recent stay with us. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much yet naturally disappointed with your words for our breakfast. This is an area which normally receives high praise for its variety and plentiful nature and testified by many wonderful reviews, so it is disheartening to read your comments but your honesty is appreciated. We will chat with the chef regarding your comments and review the offering. We appreciate your feedback. Kind Regards, Bernadette Randles.

From the moment we made our booking(07/01/2022 - 09/01/2022), speaking with Sheila our stay was top class. We asked for a room away from lift and stairs and this was delivered, our room was spotless and had a lovely view. We had fabulous food both nights in the hotel restaurant (Kaynes) and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more professional, well done staff.Felt very safe regarding Covid protocol and didn’t mind one bit when staff asked for our Covid certs when entering bar, restaurant and dining room. This wasn’t our first time staying in the Dromhall and after having a 10/10 experience again it wont be or last….already looking forward to next stay.
