Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely campsite, we stayed in a tent for 2 nights good flat ground loads of space for kids to run around and play , plenty off toilets and showers . Little shop on site for essentials, town isn't walking distance but you get over that plenty to do on the site and SuperValu around the corner, we will def return next year.

Let's start by saying the people who run this campsite are really friendly and helpfull, yet there where some serious downsides. First the price: €35/night is extremely expensive for a small 2-person tent. While the guy next to us payed less then €200/week for a car + caravan. Also this does not include the price for laundry, dryer, shower,...! It's a huge campsite, so there are a lot of people using a limited amount of toilets. Not many electric plugs, so a lot of people waiting for charging phones. Also a very limited amount of other utilities (only a few fridges, microwaves and waterboilers for hundreds of campers).

Room Tip: OK for camping in a caravan. If you are hiking or traveling with just a tent, find another camping.

We visit kilarney every summer and stay in Flemmings of whitebridge. It is a fabulous place to stay with all the facilities you need. They really look after the park keeping it very well maintained. The bathroom facilities are plentiful and immaculate. It is a location which has easy access to anything you may need. We highly recommend Flemmings and look forward to our next visit.

Lovely spacious and well kept site within walking distance of Killarney town centre. Excellent warm, friendly and helpful welcome from the owner, after a lovely drive from the ferry at Rosslare. Very good facilities, hard or grass standings, close electric hook ups and water. Fair prices. Enjoyed our too brief stay in this site and this beautiful locale. Weather could have been better but hey ho, Ireland aint green for nothing!

Stayed here with our camper. Everything is great..... then the BUT. BUT they are bit creative about the distance from town! We had bikes so it was not too bad but it could be a real pain. The nearest supermarket is a healthy stroll away too! Think they should be up front about it though.

Disappointing. The Staff were great but the owner arrived on our doorstep. He was rude and very arrogant. Made me and my partner very uncomfortable. Not acceptable at all. Totally uncalled for. For the money we had to pay I should have gone elsewhere. We unfortunately would not recommend. Manners cost nothing.

According to the write up in Caravan Camping and Motorhome Guide 2021, it states away from busy roads. However the main Cork to Killarney train runs parallel to the site. Wifi didn't work as we were too far away from WiFi receiver. Not much to do for small children, except a few weather beaten goal posts. Facilities were clean but very over priced and over rated. My advice would be to stay in Killarney Flesk which is located across from Muckross Park, the Gleneagle Hotel.

Being new to camping, I didn't know what to expect. I was very concerned about shared facilities. I was happy and relieved that this establishment obviously prides itself on cleanliness. The bathrooms, showers, dining areas, dishwashing areas were all immaculate. I enquired of the seasoned campers next to me if this was standard and was told, no - this place is very, very good. The children loved the spead-out nature of the site which gave them lots of room to ride their bikes and make friends - and I felt safe letting them go off on their own as the site is laid out in such a way that I could relax. There is a shallow river at the bottom of the property that my children discovered and decided to wade, but they did come to get me so that I supervise. The company does mention the river in its brochures, but be mindful that young explorers may go out of their way to find it. In all, a lovely, idyllic spot and an excellent base for discoving the sites of Kerry.

We stayed in Flemings in a mobile home for 6 nights recently and would highly recommend it. The site itself is really well maintained and spotlessly clean! The shower and toilet blocks were cleaned regularly and plenty of them, even when the site was busy there seemed to be a good amount to cater for this. There is a little shop on site for the basics and nice for children to be able to go to pick out their treats. The bins were plentiful and emptied regularly. We were very comfortable in the mobile home, it was very clean and kept up to date with new flooring etc. Nice picnic table outside to enjoy the fine weather. The owners here are very hard working, friendly and welcoming but don't bother you if you don't bother them. I would definitely return to Flemings as a base to tour the area.
