Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the most expensive 50 euro a night for a tent pitch I have ever stayed at but the most average facilities. Then they have the cheek to charge a euro for a shower!! One toaster, kettle and fridge shared between many campers

I stayed for 1 night last week in our campervan with my husband, son and daughter plus our small dog. We were charged 61 euro which makes this the most expensive campsite I've ever stayed in. WiFi was terrible. The shop only sold milk bread sweets chocolate. No decent shop within walking distance to buy supplies either. We couldn't see anything nearby only houses and B&Bs so eventually got a takeaway delivered. Toilets and showers were clean. Nothing on site to justify the extortionate amount we were charged. Also too far from Killarney for us.

Absolutely lovely camp site. We arrived after poor experience at the different site where we were originally booked however on arrival there was not a patch of grass. We rang Fleming’s and they had available tent pitch. On arrival the ladies were extremely welcoming and friendly. We have got a choice of few pitches and the lady allocated us in a nice quite corner. Very well kept and very clean. Lovely for kids with bikes/scooters etc. we stayed last year but this year our experience was even better.

The site is in a beautiful location which isn't hard in Kerry. The downside is that the pitches are very overpriced. We booked for a camper for 5 nights and we were charged around €282 by card in advance. Our friend paid €50 per night for a small tent for herself and her two children. Showers were €1. The recreation room was very musty, smelly and outdated. The dining room was also quite smelly. The small shop didn't stock even the basic essentials. We had to leave a day early because all five children in our group had a vomiting bug. When we went to Reception to check out the staff there asked how I had paid and when I said by card, she said she couldn't refund me because it was a card payment. She undertook to check with the manager and get in touch with me to let me know if a refund would issue. I haven't heard anything from them, so I guess a refund isn't forthcoming. I wouldn't recommend the site because in my opinion the cost of pitches amounts to overcharging and the lack of follow up has left a bad impression. Kerry is beautiful but I'm sure there's more reasonably priced places to stay.

We stayed in a tent for 2 nights , it's a massive campsite , we were put down the very back with fine walk to nearest toilets they could easily add another toilet block down that side, not much for kids to do there is a small very dated games room by reception. They charged €52 per night for 2 adults 1 child in a tent which i think is very expensive for camping. Overall all we enjoyed it but they should review their rates and add more to keep the kids entertained.

Very large site situated on the outskirts of Killarney between a river and a railway line the latter starting at 6.00am weekdays. Unfortunately there isn’t enough staff available for the size of the site and those that are here are mostly inexperienced. WiFi advertised but not available for the majority of the site! After a couple of visits to ask to get it sorted we were told that a storm damaged the boosters. No idea when the storm took place. The hot and cold water pressure in the third toilet block is totally inadequate and despite verbal and written complaints has not been sorted! The ‘handyman’ visited with his spanners but did more talking than effective work! The bridge access internally to a large part of the site has had the safety rails damaged sometime ago but the temporary repairs don’t really impress for a TripAdvisor four star rating. €38.00 per Motorhome . €6.00 for hook up. €1.00 for a ten minute very weak shower. Emails not answered. Water pressure not sorted. Poor site maintenance. No WiFi although password in office window. No shuttle system to/from Killarney. No, sorry, can’t recommend this site.

It's a beautiful site, great location and easily accessible. Alot of space in the site, walking distance from the town, a short distance from Alot of attractions and food delivery services available. Very handy to be able to buy the essentials on site. Staff are lovely and very friendly, they are also easily found on site throughout the day should you need anything. Overall, yes would definitely recommend it. However, the weekend we were there was a particularly busy weekend in the area. The site was very heavily booked which led to some issues with water and electricity. The weather was exceptionally hot so it wasn't ideal to not have hot water or electricity for coolers, but staff did the best they could and acknowledged the issue. The only negative I would mention is the traffic in and around the site with the amount of young kids playing, bikes, scooters etc.

From the minute we arrived Flemings we’re incredible the staff are super knowledgable and helpful. They greeted us so nicely and helped us find the perfect pitch. The campsite is laid out beautifully and you have tonnes of space! Meaning despite it been packed it was perfect not loads of noise like most campsites. They also welcomed my golden retriever puppy so kindly. All the staff knew the area very well so whether you wanted somewhere to eat or to go for a 2 hour hike/walk in the national park and readily call you taxis. Staff were very organised toilet's were always clean and tidy. Bins were emptied regularly. The campsite is so clean it’s almost like wild camping but with amenities. Highly recommend this place for anyone to visiting Killarney !

This campsite is Hugh and there's are 3 toilet shower buildings and they are all located near the entrance. Which leave a long enough walk if you need to use it. The pitches are not marked or lined out, which allowed them to squeeze in more caravans/campers. The electricity went out several times during our 4 night stay. The bit of a road around the campsite could do with being sorted as omg everything was covered with dust from the stone drive. There is no playground for children. And no direct access to the river. No benches no BBQ spots. Really just a field with open gate.. Really this campsite is ok and nice. But can be over crowed. Could do with some work to improve.
