My husband and I traveled to Ireland with our two adult daughters and stayed two nights. The location is great for walking to downtown to eat and look around. The hostess is welcoming and warm. She kindly answered questions and suggested places to eat. The breakfast was wonderful and filling. The only issue we had is that my husband is very tall and our room was small and the shower is a tad small for a 6'5" tall man. Other than that, we were very pleased with the accommodations and location. We would enjoy staying there again and ask for a larger room.
Christine was a lovely hostess. Right upon arrival my husband and I and our two friends were able to take our picnic lunch and sit outside at a table in the front yard. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Christine was very helpful with tips on what to see. She was well situated, only a few minute walk into Killarney and a good base for doing the Ring of Kerry. We were happy to stay there and would do so again if we return to Ireland.
My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hostess was very welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast was gorgeous. There was a plentiful spread every morning. A variety of cereals, fruit, and bread were available every morning. The cooked breakfast was fantastic. Breakfast was served on a lovely china tea set. The room was very comfortable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. The room was equipped with a good hairdryer, curling thongs, tea making facilities and saorview TV. The wifi was also included. The room had a great view. The location was ideal, the B&B was in a peaceful area but was easily accessible from the train station (the walk was less than 8 minutes). The B&B was a short walk to town(not even 5 minutes). There was also a…
We went to this B&B after an e-mail reservation with the owner. The room was quite comfortable but not so clean (dead flies on the fly-paper sticked at the window and on the balcony). The bathroom was very little and the toilet seat had some paint crust all over it. Last but not the least the price set via email was different from the final price. We are really disappointed and we do not recommend this place
Our stay started off a bit rough. As soon as we arrived Christine was negative about when we booked our stay (early morning of arrival) and that my husband smelled like cigarettes. We felt very uncomfortable staying there and unwelcomed. However, the location is perfect for walking around town. The next day she made breakfast and was very nice and accommodating.
Very nice place to stay. All attractions close by. Walking distance to town. Excellent breakfast. Christne, the host, was very nice and helpfull. She provided us a lot of information, where to go. Once we come back to Killarney, EmervilleHouse would be our first choise to stay.
We stayed here two nights, Location is great to walk to the town center and the surrounding parks etc. Rooms was clean and comfortable, maybe could have used the one or other upgrade but since we was not planing on staying in a room all day, it was sufficient. We found Christine to be quite nice to us, and we always had a chat in the morning over breakfast. We had the Irish breakfast in the mornings, it was always prepared fresh, and you could have chosen from a lot of other things too, cereal, just eggs, breads, juices, coffee, tea whatever...., for being a BandB a very good selection to choose from. The road where the BandB is located is very quiet and we slept well.
The place in Killarney I had originally booked was double booked, so they found me accomodation at Emerville instead. Christine was a welcoming host and offered advice on things to do and help if I required assistance booking day trips. The location was just a five minute walk from the city centre and bus and train stations. The room was comfortable and kept clean. Wifi was good. The one downside was the breakfast, which was okay, but not great. The pancakes were very thin and probably just not what I'm used to.
Of all the B and B's we stayed in while visiting Ireland, I would say this one was just ok, in the middle of town, not a pretty view. The hostess was very sweet, the room was clean and comfortable. For breakfast we had fruit. Then a choice of mains, we chose pancakes. Not the best choice we got 3 thin pancakes.
We emailed Christine to let here know that we were to arrive approx. 1030pm - prior to this she was very responsive to all our emails. We emailed her at 8pm that we would be arriving at 1030pm she indicated she waited until 830pm - really? What about the email we sent - when we arrived at your home we knocked on both doors - phoned your landline and your cellphone a few times and you ignored us. We were now in the position to find alternative accommodations at this hour - after driving 2.5 hours. Very disappointed!
