Stayed with my husband for a night during the week. We are local and decided to holiday at home due to restrictions. We couldn't have made a better decision. Have used the bar plenty of times but have never seen the hotel. We have been missing out! Check in was very straightforward and the staff were very friendly. Lots of measures in place to maintain cleanliness and social distancing - including hand sanitiser at the door and a neat little monitor at the desk to alert you when you were standing too close.
We got a surprise upgrade to a suite and it was amazing! Beautifully decorated and spacious. A superking bed which was amazingly comfortable. We had food and drinks in the bar that evening, as always the food and service was fantastic. And of course the cocktails are amazing!
After a fantastic night's sleep (couldn't get over the noise proofing in the centre of killarney) we had a gorgeous a lá carte breakfast (I recommend the pancakes) in the main restaurant downstairs. All in all we had a wonderful stay. The accommodation, the service, the cleanliness and the staff were all second to none. Will definitely consider staying close to home in future if this is what is on our doorstep!

We visited Killarney on a Saturday night and decided to stay in the Ross due to it’s good location (walking distance to everything in town) and good reviews on Trip Advisor.
From check in to check out we cannot fault a thing. We were welcomed by a very kind lady who checked us in quickly and informed us about dining options for the evening and breakfast the next morning.
Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the beautiful church next door, the bed is the comfiest bed I think I’ve ever slept in and myself and my partner both remarked that we would stay at the Ross again just to sleep in the beds again!
We dined in the Lane bar in the hotel where we enjoyed some fabulous cocktails and delicious food. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and very obliging to any requests.
Overall we had a great night at The Ross and will definitely be returning for another stay in the future.

We are just back after a wonderful few days in The Ross hotel. This is a beautifully presented hotel right in the centre of Killarney but so peaceful for its location. From start to finish this hotel is fabulous. The staff are so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you get the most from your stay . The reception staff always make you feel welcome and are excellent to give advice on places of interest. Breakfast is really fresh and all served to the table which is lovely and the staff were so polite and friendly too and always on hand to ensure you had enough of everything. The bar/ lounge is very modern and has a very relaxing atmosphere. The service is prompt and delivered with the same friendliness and attention to detail as is evident throughout the hotel. The bedrooms are so big and the beds are really comfortable. When we make a return visit to Killarney this will be our first choice of accommodation . Well done to the management and staff👍

We stayed here for two nights while I attended a conference and we were very happy with it.
The location couldn't be better right in the heart of Killarney but it is very quiet and very friendly.
The parking in the very nearby 'Park Hotel' was really simple and very convenient.
The breakfasts were a highlight. The lady who served breakfast went to great trouble to make sure that as a coeliac I was given great options. My 'nut free' daughter was also very happy with the food and the level of checking that went into making sure that the food was suitable.
All in all I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Killarney.

The lady running their restaurant so knows her stuff. We wandered in without a booking for lunch on September 2nd at 12.30pm and the service from the hostess and her two waitresses who were working was outstanding. Immaculate and well run, this place deserves all of its accolades. The professionalism of the staff was outstanding. A little like US restaurants, chilled water arrived in bottles without us asking and the food was beautifully presented. The Bruschetta with cheese was terrific and my husband had Chicken Enchilada and we were pleased with both. Well done to the lead lady on the Team here and you deserve every success coming to you. What stood out most for us was the gleaming cleanliness of the cutlery and glassware and the Covid guidelines brilliantly adhered to. Thank you. Well done. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The Ross helped me organize a fab Hen weekend for my sister. From start to finish our stay as a group of 9 was seamless. All my requests for the group were taken into account from room arrangements to dietary requirements. It was fantastic value late check out and a 2 course dinner included they even personalized the Menu for the hen.
My sister was made feel very special from upgrading our room to the cake platter and congratulations card the small touches really did not go unnoticed.
All of the group had a great time and said they would stay again in the future.

This hotel which is beautifully decorated is one block from the center of Killarney where all the pubs and restaurants are located. The rooms are big. Ours had a beautiful view of a church and yet was quiet. The hotel has a nice sitting area upfront with a crackling fireplace. The parking is in their sister hotel up the street and a 2 minute walk. The staff is super friendly and helpful as are most of the Irish. Our concierge who was from Portugal was outstanding and helped us a lot in finding the best restaurants as well as in driving directions.
The restaurant is also excellent.
Would highly recommend without reservations.

We experienced the worst customer experience I’ve ever had the displeasure of facing during our final night of our staycation in Ireland (Covid pandemic times). We booked into the Ross hotel as a ‘treat’ for the last leg of the journey as we had a great experience in the Lane cocktail bar last year. We arrived to the hotel and were given our room key and took the lift to our room where another guest joined us in the lift unmasked (despite clear guidelines to wear masks in common areas and only one household per lift). We exited the lift and headed to our room where there was a group of people in a room next door with the door of the room held open with a bag and people coming and going through the corridors with no masks. We raised our concerns with the receptionist who advised she could not ensure covid compliance in the hotel hallways. She offered to move us to a noisier room on the ground floor of the hotel (as this was all that was available). We walked down to reception to explain our disappointment with the complete disregard of covid compliance by other guests in the hotel and the lack of enforcement by the hotel staff. When we arrived to reception, the desk was unattended but we could overhear the two receptionists loudly talk about the circumstances of our complaint with a complete disregard for it. We had to interrupt them to make them aware we could hear their entire conversation. They made no effort to apologise, rectify the situation or accept any responsibility for the fact their guests were in breach of several public health guidelines and the receptionists were turning a blind eye to it. I would give this hotel zero stars if I could and I would urge hotel management to investigate the circumstances of this review and the hotel staff in question. The hotel rooms themselves are basic, overpriced, and tacky. There are far nicer hotels in Killarney for a fraction of the price.

Friendly staff and conveniently located. When we walked into our first room, I thought the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke - like the kind that gets caught in carpet or curtains. We were assured that the hotel was no smoking but they allowed us to switch rooms. Upon entry into our new room, the smell was not present. I suspect the first room, based on location, may get cigarette smell up from the alley it overlooked.
The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet with black out curtains. An espresso machine is in room, along with a kettle, for premium coffee and tea. The breakfast the next morning was excellent.
