Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Super hotel, great location so close to the train station, two mins walk to the town centre. Entrance to Killarney national park across the road, great view of the mountains and park from the room. Rooms are well equipped bed so comfortable and a jacuzzi in the bathroom which was ideal to soak in after our long walk around the park exploring, staff in the hotel very helpful and friendly, food was delicious.

A great place to stay in the heart of Killarney town, friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms at a good price. We had dinner in the bar which was reasonably priced and tasted lovely. Check in and check out was seamless.

The hotel is in a great position in town, and offers an absolutely delicious breakfast. Parking is a bit tight, so if you're getting a hire car, be sure to ask for a small one, and make sure you get back to town before 5.00

Reception was friendly and efficient. Parking was horrible. The bar was nice and spacious with entertainment. Location was perfect. The hotel needs updating as it smells like mildew throughout the hotel. The restaurant is beautiful. Beds and pillow in the rooms definitely need upgrading. The room is smaller and requires updating.

We went to the Avenue for the first time last weekend, we had vouchers to use and thought the location of here was great and Killarney is never a bad idea! Always something going on. It was such a lovely stay, look if you’re after clean lines and sharp modern interiors with a slick exterior and everything up to scratch aesthetically then you won’t find if here. It is a bit tired looking in places and the rooms could probably be described as dated. But the staff here are what really makes this place shine. Every single one was friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. A real family feel to the place I thought. Love the touches of the handmade soap company toiletries and the non plastic water bottles. We had a slight issue on check in and the way they dealt with it and looked after us was outstanding. The food in the bar was not gourmet but there was great choice, and it was perfect for what we were looking for. We ate there both nights. The only disappointment for us was the pool at their sister hotel The Towers. The water was freezing and there was no jacuzzi so we only dipped in and left straight away we were so cold. That was a shame as I do like a leisurely dip on a break away but that was the only negative. A great stay, really comfy beds and lovely people to deal with. We will be back!!

A three night stay. Overall the stay was fine, checkin was great and the bar staff were very friendly and super helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. We were not so happy though with the cleaning staff and their routine. Normally I can understand that rooms next to us and above need to be serviced but the cleaning commenced fairly early on. The amount of noise created doing their cleaning duties was incredible. I'd suggest that the cleaning manager stays in one off the rooms or in particular room 215 for a morning to experiencer the clonking and noise making for themselves. Other hotels the staff manage to perform these duties without so much noise. Kind of spoils a restful stay!

Would highly recommend this hotel. The staff can't do enough for you. The food was absolutely amazing. Definitely a must when staying in Killarney. Will be returning to this hotel. The rooms are spotless. Location is perfect when out and about in Killarney. Car park is limited so just arrive a bit early.

We had 3 rooms and my extended family had another 3 rooms. So I saw all the rooms and they were all so comfortable and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. (13 adults, 2 kids) we will be back for our next family reunion. Breakfast is well worth getting. Lots of choice and it was delicious.
