We recently had our small ‘Lockdown’ wedding in The Killarney Avenue Hotel and they absolutely went out of their way to make our stay very special. There were only six of us altogether in the wedding party. The personal service and attention to detail from the start of our stay were outstanding. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious - we will be back with friends and family when lockdown restrictions finally end.

I was assigned to work in Sneem Co Kerry, in normal times that would be no problem, but because of the Covid 19 pandemic finding accommodation is not as easy. I have to say I found the Killarney Avenue Hotel so so helpful and accommodating, and their procedures were so reassuring that I was safe. I needed a letter from my employer which was no problem. On my arrival, before entering the home there was hand sanitising stations, I wore a mask and on arrival to reception the Girl on duty was behind a screen, my room was ready and key cards were ssanitised I was very impressed also I was given an envelope and asked to read the Hotel's covid policy . . . excellent, food was available in the Bar which was music to my ear, my room was perfect, and even the TV remote was in a plastic container haven been sanitised The staff could no have been any more helpful, haven gone for a short walk in the park across the road, I returned to have some food, excellent menu, for the time were in I went for Prawns and a Thai Curry, I was able to watch the Rugby and have a refreshment while having my dinner, excellent. My room was very comfortable barroom well sanitised. The following morning I had a long day ahead. I had an excellent Irish breakfast before checking out. All I can say it was Home from Home, thank you for all your efforts in making my stay so seamless under these very difficult times, well done take a bow, Denis Mc Carthy the GM and his team who were most helpful. I look forward to returning to your Hotel when all this nonsense is over. Keep up the good work, & thank you. Would highly recommend.

Take it as read that we absolutely love Eire. Take it as read that (for tourists) it's a busy wee place which you do need to book early to get the better places to stay.... anywhere. We never advance book. Sometimes that is good, sometimes not as you can end up with a shitey, crappy B&B place where you get a breakfast of worms.... on toast... if you're lucky. Killarney turned out to be one of the great towns. Seemed busy so off we went to the Information place. We're not snobs particularly but prefer four star or three and a half star hotels. How about the Killarney Avenues Hotel? This is a genuinely lovely hotel with tremendous class. I honestly cannot remember the room we had: which has to be good of course. The breakfast was the typical excellent Irish feast and is
