After having stayed in various hotels, we were thrilled to check into this B&B. It was just steps away from all the “happening” areas of Killarney but was quiet and charming. Our room was brand new, huge by European standards (ask for room 217) with a sitting area, jetted bathtub, ample charging stations, and their breakfasts were incredible. And it was about half the price of the hotel that others stayed in. They also had a library / reading room that you could chill in. And the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive. This place was great!
We stayed in Ashville House for 3 nights and could not fault it in any way. On arrival our room was ready, spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a good sized bathroom with a good shower and complimentary products and also a walk in wardrobe. The bed was comfortable with fresh new crisp bed linen. Breakfast was great, choice of cereals, fruit, bread, cooked breakfast and juice/tea/coffee and plenty of it. Declan was a fantastic host and great for advice on what to do and where to go. Ashville House is only a 2 minute walk to the town centre with many shops, bars and restaurants so the location is perfect. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend. Catherine & Garth.
Ashville House is in a relatively quiet location in Killarney, which is good, given that Killarney is generally viewed as a very busy "touristy" town. The town centre is indeed very busy and full of tourists, and therefore relatively expensive. Generous sized room, excellent bathroom. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to our friends.
Bigger than your average B&B, more like a small hotel. Simple décor and clean. Rooms are carpeted, and have a desk/mirrors, chair(s). Bathroom was small, but shower was fully enclosed with good water pressure and a shelf for personal items as well as a grab bar. There are rooms on both the first and second floor, no elevator. We had two rooms, one with 2 twin beds and one with a full/double bed. Both rooms were the same size, so the one with the full bed felt larger as it had more space free of furniture. There were black out curtains. It was quiet and I slept well. It is a 3 minute walk to the main street and 10 minutes to the absolute center of the high street. Very easy walk to all restaurants etc., yet quiet. We had friends who stayed on the main street and at first glimpse I was jealous, but after the first night I was very glad. Their hotel was very loud and ours was just as nice if not nicer, and was quiet. Breakfast was served from 7:15 on, and had a buffet of cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, and you could order whatever you wanted from a hot breakfast menu. You also didn’t need to stick exactly to the menu, but could basically order whatever hot food combinations you wanted. Anything from a full Irish breakfast to pancakes or porridge/oatmeal. Food was high quality and arrived quickly. My requests for extra towels were accommodated with no questions asked. There was no servicing rooms due to COVID, but you could exchange towels and get additional room supplies if needed. Parking available. I would highly recommend this establishment.…
I highly recommend staying in this B&B. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotless. Declan and Elma are so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was just beautiful. We would definitely recommend staying there.
Our room had everything that one might expect in a small inn or B&B. There was plenty of space to unpack. There were enough spare outlets for charging phones. Everything you might need to make coffee or tea in your room was provided. The breakfast menu offered a number of delicious choices, which we appreciated and enjoyed. There was a common lounge where we could relax if we wanted. The only (minor) complaint was that the hot water was extremely hot! There was a sign in the bathroom to warn us of this.
Spent 6 days at this wonderful B & B. The hosts Declan and Emma could not do enough for us with suggestions for our trips out and eating suggestions. Wide selection for breakfast and a shout out for Brenda. Free parking and a 5 minute walk to the High Street with a great selection of restaurants. And a great whiskey bar with over 1,500 selections! Ideal location for the Ring of Kerry, Muckross House and the Dingle Peninsula.
My favorite place to stay! We just completed a family trip to Ireland....myself and three adult children. Everything about our stay was welcoming and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, bright and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious and quite filling. We were all sated until into the afternoon. The location is exceptional with a quick walk to shopping, attractions, pubs and restaurants. Declan was kind and a wonderful host. Please consider a stay here. Thank you to Love Irish Tours and Ashville for a wonderful stay.
We stayed three nights at Ashville House. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and received so many valuable tips about the area. Our room was neat and tidy and pretty roomy by European standards. A delicious breakfast was made to order! This is a great base location to explore ( walk into Killarney, do the Ring etc.) just a short walk into the center of town for restaurants but in a quite area- abbey across the street! Minutes from our golf game, horseback riding and the Ross Castle
I spent the last 10 days in Ireland in a different hotel/BNB almost every night and this was by far my favorite stay. Incredible staff, immensely helpful and accommodating and kind. Located a 2-3 minute walk from all the shops and restaurants downtown. The rooms were immaculate and bright and welcoming. Excellent, fresh breakfast every morning. Felt so comfortable like I was home. I would return here in a heartbeat.
