My girlfriend and I had few drinks here in the afternoon. We went back to our hotel to get dressed up for the evening and returned here to get food. When we arrived there were no available tables. We said we would wait, a couple sitting by the greeting station kindly let us know that they would be leaving soon once they finished their drinks. We let the lady at the greeting station know and stepped away so that the couple could enjoy their drinks. In the meantime another couple arrived and was lining up for a seat. The couple finished their drinks and let us know that the table was free. The waitress rudely told us that we were not next in line and the couple who arrived after us were next in line. In the end we were happy to leave as we did not want to eat somewhere who speaks to customers like that. A blessing in disguise, would not recommend at all.

First of all this is a very friendly hotel as soon as you walk in you are made extremely welcomed. Everyone associated with the hotel is very friendly. The bedroom is big and the bed is very comfortable. The shower was one of the best that I have had in a hotel. I had breakfast three times in the hotel and was not disappointed. Lovely fresh fruit and the hot dishes were very good and the coffee kept being refilled, important for me in the morning :-) On my first night I ate at the restaurant attached in the bar and the food was very good. I was only there for three nights because I was in Killarney for a wedding. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Killarney again.

Our stay at the McSweeney Hotel in Killarney was excellent. The owner, his daughter and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also loved that there was a pub attached to the hotel that was a good hangout after a long day of sightseeing.
