Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for 1 night before heading to a wedding last week and were very impressed! The rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, the bed was comfy and it was a spacious room. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and was delicious. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, making us feel welcome which really made our stay. We also had lunch and a couple of drinks in Murphy’s bar, which was fab and the bar staff were equally great! (thank you Josh!) we will definitely rebook on our next visit to Killarney.

Didn't stay at this property but had two dinners in their outdoor space week beginning 20 June 2021. Food was lovely, good pub grub and a decent glass of wine. The staff are very friendly and chatty. We had to queue to get in but my husband has difficulty standing if the queue is large. I asked if he could sit down and we were provided with two chairs not one! On the second night the restaurant manager recognised us and found us a nice table after a short queue. Thank you to all for your kindness, hard work and decent pub grub.

Heard about this hotel in a podcast. I was a little concerned at the low price, but it was a perfect gem. Ended up staying over for a more leisurely vacation. Large, clean rooms with an Irish Bar downstairs with good food. Near the Ring of Kerry and the Killarney Park. Definitely a keeper. MG

Murphy's was perfect for our group. The bedrooms were large, with double beds and a twin and the bathrooms large. We especially liked the location, as you could walk all around Killarney. The breakfast in the morning was quite good and included in our room rate. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs lodging in that area. Also nice was a large parking lot about a block away, where you can park overnight.

We had a lovely stay at Murphy's. It's in the center of town, and parking was just down the street. We got a chance to see some live traditional music in the bar downstairs one night and it was perfect. Breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the staff was great. Our infant daughter had an ear ache, and we asked for help at the front desk. Maureen called about 10 places to get us a doctor's appointment that day. She was extremely helpful and saved us a lot of stress. We got into a doctor and got her taken care of. Thank you so much, Maureen! We would stay here again in heartbeat and I will recommend to friends!
