This was originally booked to be at the Glena House, but we were directed by signs to go to Rivermere, one of 3 properties ran by this company. This was just a couple hundred feet away and easy to get to. Plenty of free parking was available. The gal at the front desk seemed new and english was a little...

It was OK. The biggest plus: the beds were huge, very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was satisfying, although the coffee was instant and not at all good. Reception seemed friendly. The negatives: We were in the back of the house and couldn't get internet. The bathroom was a little bit disgusting, mostly because you couldn't take a shower without getting...

The guest house is the perfect distance from the town center, its close enough to walk to and from and it is just far enough away from the loud night life. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The room was nice and spacious with a bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. The one negative thing i will...

€30 a night here? I'll take that and keep on coming back!! Clean spacious room, quiet, powerful shower. Great stuff. Easy walk to the town and free WiFi/parking. Breakfast kind of let it down but I'll definitely be back.

First impression on entering building was of cobwebs and dust in the hallway. Bedroom was no better - old fashioned, dirty, black mold in bathroom and smelt like student accommodation circa early 1990's! It was cheap and I guess you get what you pay for.....but surely keeping place clean isn't a big ask?

We booked "on the fly" as we entered town, based on the photos and (some) reviews of this hotel. We wanted a quiet location, decent W-Fi and parking. On arrival we realized to our horror it was located on a main road. We were shown the room (at the back as we'd asked for a quiet room) and it was...

Maybe it was because we had just come from an amazing place in Kinsale, but when we arrived at Rivermere we were immediately disappointed. The family room we stayed in was dark, dingy, and the bathroom was truly awful. Luckily we checked the towel situation - no towels in the room. The beds were so uncomfortable. We had planned to...
