Location is perfect, easy walk to train and bus, in the middle of shopping and restaurants. Staff excellent - front desk helpful, accommodating, friendly and professional. Excellent breakfast! Very comfortable room, loved the pillows. Street side can be noisy with window open, ask for the back if that bothers you. Loved Killarney, came back on purpose and stayed at Foley’s again.
Fantastic food. Was told it was the best restaurant in Killarney, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Staff were very friendly and helpful with great suggestions. Must visit if coming to Killarney. It is also in the Main Street so lots to visit after dinner.
Excellent Seafood. The sole dish was extremely delish. Atmosphere was perfect for fine dinning and the service was very nice. Prices were reasonable given the quality of the food and experience not to mention the wine list was over the top. High recommend.
OMG - the food was out of this world. The setting was beautiful. The staff was appropriately attentive. We had a wonderful meal of rack of lamb mussels and cocktails. The wine list is one of the best ever seen. Go go go The owner herself is still caring for customer at 70+ years old
Nice continental menu and the server knows how to provide accommodating service. Knowledgeable and professional. Good selection of whiskey and wines. In fact probably the best wine list I have seen in forty years in the business. Accommodates all palates and desires. White linen tables, clean preset presentation awaiting the guest. Wonderful musical environment at proper volumes. Service ware changed as needed. Side service such as ice, side plates, appropriate flatware to orders all taken care of. The food was well prepared and presented. Hot plates and food cooked to desired temps. Service was attentive and not hovering. Very reasonably priced.
Stayed at this hotel for a few days whilst doing the Ring of Kerry. The hotel is a bit old school but that is fine - everything is really clean and works fine. The staff were all lovely and happy to help and breakfast was tasty. However, the mattress was clearly quite old and very uncomfortable- both my partner and I struggled to sleep due to that which is a shame. Apart from that everything else was ok. The shower in particular was very hot and powerful - great after a day exploring!
My brother and I stayed here for the weekend. Location is great right in the heart of the town. Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Rooms are very comfortable and again spotlessly clean. Restaurant is lovely and the food was amazing, the T bone steak was awesome. Staff at the Foley townhouse were so nice and very welcoming. I would 100% recommend the Foley townhouse and 100% be returning. And would like to thank them again for an amazing stay. Thank you
Spent a night here in August on my sisters hen and would b very slow in booking here in the future..location was brilliant but the staff were rude and to be honest looked like they didn't want us there....we sat for a meal around 5 which I must admit was lovely but the min we sat down we were made feel like we were not wanted...A women came straight over to my sister (I think she was inchange) not to say I hope ur having a good day or hope u enjoy ur hen night but to aggressively say make sure when ye get in tonight ye b quite as we have other guests...beds were comfy but rooms were very date... breakfast was the exact same as dinner 3 of our girl woke up a bit early around 8.30..went down to get breakfast and was told were not ready for ye yet ..ye have a group booking at 9.45.. restaurant was empty so they cud of sat them... breakfast was only OK I got the omelette and It wudnt fill a child...not impressed and rude again when we asked for toast and butter... it cost nothing to b nice and when places have been closed for so long u think they wud appreciate the business…
My trip to kilarney was very last minute. The weather was good and I decided I wanted to do the the ring of kerry cycle, which is something I've wanted to do for a while now. My booking was last minute and I didn't expect much for the very reasonably priced room at Foleys. When I arrived in kilarney Town my heart sank a little when I saw that Foleys was located on the main street itself which was already very lively at the hour I arrived. I figured my chances of a good night's sleep were put the window......turns out I was wrong. The room I had was very quiet and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was complimentary and was very nice. The cycle around kerry was absolutely spectacular, skellig Michael was a highlight, what an awesome sight. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and to highlight how helpful they were let me tell you what happened after I'd checked out.......I was on the train on my way back to Dublin when I realised I'd left a shirt(a pretty good one at that) in the wardrobe of my hotel room. I emailed the hotel and they got back to me straight away and said they'd post the shirt out to me. I offered to cover the cost of postage but they charged me nothing for this. Can't get any better than that. I plan to do the ring of kerry cycle again and when I do I'll be staying at Folye's.…
We made a fairly last minute reservation due to Covid restrictions so didn’t really have any expectations other than good reviews on Tripadvisor. My wife, daughter and I had a high quality meal with great service. My daughter is very fussy but they made her a special meal (which she finished which is a rarity). To begin we had soup and fish cakes which were clearly fresh and very well prepared. Delicious. For mains my wife had salmon and I had black sole. Both were generous portions cooked to perfection. We shared salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. Again, clearly prepared with love. The wine list is extensive. We had a Puligny Montrachet which was reasonably priced and as expected, smooth and creamy. The restaurant is unique and has that feeling that chains simply can’t copy. I would highly recommend Foley’s. Well done and thanks to all the staff who made our brief visit memorable.…
