Great family run hotel in middle of a great town. Stayed two nights in room 109, scrupulously clean and comfortable. Very important now with Covid. Food was great and all staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Furnishings and decor throughout were traditional and tasteful. Can’t wait to go back again when times are better and the traditional Irish music is being played again in the bar.
We loved this place and everyone was friendly and helpful on our recent visit there. It was full of old world charm and the location couldn’t be better. The room was top class and the breakfast was to die for ! There is a great breakfast menu and Betty the lovely lady who served us our breakfast with care and warmth also brought us delicious freshly baked scones straight from the oven. Can’t wait to return!
Older style decor on the inside gave it a grander feel. The decor in the room is slightly outdated but has some nice furniture. Very cosy bed with clean, warm bathroom that had all the essentials. Breakfast was nice. Had the French toast which was delightful.
Stayed one night at the end of August. Hotel was spotless, good sized room, and staff were very nice and accommodating. This hotel is in a great location and is very good value - would stay again if in the town
We just returned from a 6 night stay here. To say that it is a gem of a hotel is an understatement. We were checked in very efficiently by Ina who advised us about parking options and went and got a weekly ticket for us after duty. That was so so nice. We were treated to complimentary tea and ginger cake then, which incidentally was available all day every day. Such a nice treat after touring all day. This tea was served in proper silver pots with all the trimmings. The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic too - great buffet of juices, cereals, Yoghurt and fresh fruit, menu for hot food was vast and very well served. Betty served us most mornings and while being very professional showed a keen interest in our holiday. An absolute lady. Strict adherence to covid regulations were very evident everywhere. Damask tablecloths were always used at breakfast and changed after each use which involved a lot of work. Bar food was lovely also. Reception staff were always very friendly and helpful. It is very evident everywhere that this is a well run family hotel who genuinely care about their customers. Location is great, on the main street close to all amenities. The best car parking is up the hill on Lewis Road, €8 per week. We will definitely return here again and highly highly recommend it.…
