Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The best hotel by far we have stayed at in Ireland! From our check in,our room, dining and the spa we can only describe it as first class. The staff were all cheerful, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in and around the hotel was very relaxed so it was easy to unwind during our stay. This is the 4th hotel we have stayed at in Killarney and was easily the best by a long way. We will be heading back to Killarney in September and will book in again at Muckross. There is so much to do in Killarney so without a doubt we would highly recommend the hotel for a luxury break. Dean and Caitriona.

I recently had my wedding in Muckross Park Hotel. I need to thank Orla (Weddings & Events Manager) for everything! From the day we walked into Muckross and spoke with Orla we knew this was the venue for us. All the staff in Muckross are so friendly and helpful! All my wedding guests were nothing but compliments for the venue and staff. We had our ceremony onsite along with the dinner reception. The food and service was outstanding! Our wedding was so relaxed as we were in experienced and capable hands! Everything went so well and we are incredibly grateful for everything. A particular thanks to Orla & Niall in events, your attention to detail is second to none . Lisa & Regina in reservations who looked after all our requests and changes, you were a pleasure. Chris who managed to walk my 2 year old down the aisle during a toddler moment! Thank you so much! We will be regular visitors of the hotel going forward as it holds a special place in our hearts. Thanks again Connie

Upon our arrival to the hotel looked very lovely and well balanced with their colour schemes and textures. The receptionist who greeted us, Laura, was really good! We really liked her, she let us know that we were upgraded to a superior room instead of the standard king. Once we arrived in the room everything looked nice, the few issues we had were the location and size of the tv, the lack of channels available to the guests too. The thermostat didn’t seem to work very well, it got warm very quick but it took hours to cool down then to a suitable temperature. Overall the look and feel of it was quite average, not really the 5* star we were expecting. We dined in the Yule Restaurant for dinner which was a very lovely setting, especially the servers, a big asset to the hotel. There were just a few things we were disappointed with such as the cocktails which looked absolutely shocking for the price they were and then the water cost €8, which was offered to us. You’d assume it would be free in such a high establishment! When asked for a cocktail that was not on the menu we got charged twice the price it was worth, again, the presentation was shocking. The bartender should be trained properly in cocktail making! The venison was beautiful and so was the crab salad. Everything else we’ve had was just okay. There was loud noise coming in to the restaurant from the wedding which was quite distracting considering it’s fine dining.

We continue to return to this 5 star hotel for 5 star service and hospitality. The spa area is so relaxing and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. The location is perfect to access the National Park with free use of bikes. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Our stay included the New Year's Eve 7 course dinner experience. Dinner was incredibly unique and delicious. The staff were very attentive and exceptional. The front desk staff was also friendly and welcoming. They gave chocolates and a welcome note along with a free upgraded suite for my birthday. In particular, Shad was incredibly helpful with our luggage and car as well as giving us great advice on where to go in Killarney.

We visited on New Year's Day. When we entered the lobby, it was like walking into another world. The first thing that hit us was the beautiful scent. Then we were met with a warm welcome at the reception desk. A member of staff brought us steaming glasses of mulled wine, before whisking our bags up to our room. The room was spacious and elegant. The spa was luxurious. The food and drinks were gorgeous. We're already planning our next visit.
