Recently visited for dinner and was disappointed with there being no gluten free options on the menu. They said I could make substitutions but I hate to be awkward and do that when I don’t know they’ll be prepped properly when I have an allergy. For a 5 star hotel I expected more.
On arrival you are advised by written notice to ring from phone in porch if you need assistance. Rain/mist showers not working in spa area. Dinner in lake restaurant very poor, asked for vinegar and was given 2 plastic sachets,(€65-€75 a head you would expect more) very disappointing for a 5 star..we definitely won't be back.
Went here for dinner the views ware amazing and the food and service was top class. We sat facing out over the lake and the mountains. The staff were very attentive and the food was really well made with quality Irish ingredients. A must visit if you go to Killarney.
I don't know why this hotel is given five stars. Unacceptable mold problem in the bathroom. Breakfast staff seemed unorganized and not very friendly. I was feeling ill, and there apparently was no way to see a health professional in town - the hotel certainly did not have a doctor on staff. View was nice.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Aghadoe. Spa was beautiful and got lovely treatments after visiting the Thermal Suite. Staff were fantastic, in particular Maura in the Heights Lounge who was extremely friendly and attentive. We hope to return again soon!
Just left Agadhoe Heights Hotel after a blissful short post - Christmas break. Jacinta and Patricia in reservations were so helpful with our last minute decision and our room was gorgeous. It's the little things that make the difference at Agadhoe - the feeling of luxury, staff everywhere who can't do enough for you, professional but so interested and friendly. The classy Christmas decorations made it feel festive and the fact that the weather wasn't great meant we had no guilt about lounging around reading and enjoying the Thermal Suite in the spa (twice!!) , pure relaxation!! The amazing views during the delicious breakfast, served by the ever pleasant Salim, set us up for a stroll around the town. We brought the Scrabble for battles in the cocktail bar each evening, well minded by attentive bar staff, pure chill out time. I feel as if I have been away for ages!!! A real holiday…
We had a family reunion here over the new year. It was fantastic. From the moment we made contact with reservations Jacinta and Patricia ensured that all our requirements were met. Their caring attitude instilled confidence that we were certainly booking the right hotel. Once we arrived we were swept away by the view. This hotel overlooks the lakes in Killarney and having climbed Ireland’s highest mountain carrauntohil earlier it was now the perfect place to relax. Gerry was in hand at the door to meet us with our luggage and thanks to reservation diligence all I had to do was share my credit card details at reception and I was in my way to the spa. What a way to relax after being in the mountains. Everywhere we went in this hotel we experienced staff that went that extra mile to ensure your stay would be memorable. At breakfast we had a view overlooks the lakes and mountains and the choice was amazing. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the ambiance with a grand piano in the background playing makes the setting so romantic. The view from our bedroom window was amazing and the cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional. If you want a place to relax and chill out this is the place and I guarantee you will want to come back. In fact I was not amazed to see guests rebooking when checking out. Having travelled the world this is my favourite hotel.…
Just spent a lovely start to the new year with a lovely jazz lunch in the lake room with sunny views over the lake. The lovely Salim, and Abdur took great care of us. Lovely relaxing time at the pool, and thanks to John for the lift into town. Comfy beds so a great night's rest and sleep was had. Thanks to all the team from Robin, Celeste, Gerry, John, Patricia and Kevin and the lovely girl at reception ( apologies I can't remember name as I write this review) to making our stay so enjoyable. We sha return 😃
We stayed in the hotel for a 2 night stay last Thursday and Friday The welcome was excellent and warm The hotel is fabulous, excellent homely ambience with modern relaxing decor. All the staff were so nice and the service they provided was "second to none" The food was of an exceptional quality The view over the lakes and mountains was amazing We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this has been our best experience to - date We will definatly return
My partner and I visited the spa this weekend. From start to finish I thought the entire experience was phenomenal. When I booked by phone I was talking to Lauren. She was extremely helpful and friendly. I explained it was my partners first time going to a spa and so she suggested the appropriate treatments. We felt welcome and comfortable. The hot towel on arrival is a lovely gesture. There is water tanks in every corner in case you get thirsty. The place was spotless. The changing rooms had everything you could possibly need. Brid was our therapist. She has a lovely energy and is fantastic at her job. If there was an option I would be asking for her next time. Overall fantastic experience
