Rooms nicely appointed with a fridge and Nespresso coffee machine. Bed was comfortable as were the pillows. There was a portable fan should you need it. Internet was fine when we checked in but on the first evening we could not use our box to watch tv. Our friends had same issues with very slow internet service. We mentioned that the next morning and didn't have any issues after that. Barman in the bar in the basement level was very nice and very friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable

We choose the Cahernane for our wedding night, and it added to an already magical day. The Herbert Suite was amazing and that clawfoot tube was just divine. The house and property are stunningly beautiful, taking you back in time. Set back down a tree lined road and up against Killarney national park, you leave the modern world behind one and feel transported back in time. The main rooms of Manor rooms all have that authentic charm and the decor is lovely with the antique quality of the era (wooden trim, oil paintings, period furniture, etc). Each room have their charm and overall atmosphere creates the feeling of being transported back in time. By far one of our favorite stays in Ireland, and one we look forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed a three night / one dinner stay at Cahernane House. The hotel is maintained to a high standard, staff are friendly and professional, and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. We have no regrets staying and will certainly return. The room was spacious and furnishings were in keeping with the period setting. With just a 20 minute walk to Killarney town, the hotel is ideally situated but far enough down its lane for a peaceful and tranquil location. Cahernane is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area and further such as the Ring of Kerry. The only negative aspect I can think of is the rather limited menu selection in the Cellar Bar. The Herbert Restaurant experience however was wonderful.

My family of four (wife + two adult daughters) had just a wonderful three night stay at Cahernane House Hotel. Every public room in the hotel is gorgeous, and it is a real respite from some of the relative business of Killarney and the national park. We stayed in suites in the garden wing. Very well appointed rooms with beautiful views to the mountains. Great breakfast was offered, and we enjoyed a small dinner in the downstairs bar. Staff were great. Can't wait to find our way back there for another stay.

Nowhere could possibly have been better. Coming in on a late May evening after a beautiful ceremony in St. Mary's Cathedral, we were greeted with a roaring fire and a glass of champagne by the unmatched staff a t Cahernane. Entering the warm library also with a fire where a string trio was playing and beautiful tables with perfect canapes being passed around caused one of our guest to say this was the most perfect wedding he's ever attended. Emer and her staff set a beautiful table with truly gourmet food for the dinner. Dancing back in the library, drinks in the solarium and a late night Irish music jam in the cellar bar capped a wedding better than any of us expected. My husband and I planned this with much import from my son and his bride and it was truly magical and an utterly painless experience. I wish I were closer to Killarney rather than in east coast USA since Cahernane would be our regular stop. A utterly rare experience with the kindest, funniest and most creative people we've met. Thanks to all and hope we meet again.

The renovation of this hotel is amazing. It is modernized but totally in keeping with the era of the house. The grounds are stunning and relaxing. It literally feels like you are living in a movie. Breakfast was included and great. We at the pub restaurant which was also very good. Overall, this is a great value for Killarney. We stayed here and at another hotel in the area but closer to the town center, which was more expensive but honestly, not nearly as enjoyable and relaxing as the Cahernane House. If I return to Killarney I will absolutely chose this hotel. Also, this bed was the most comfortable of all the hotels I stayed in during a 2 week trip to the UK.

Such a lovely property with fine attention to detail. David, (the F&B manager) is a welcoming engaging addition to Cahernane. He helped us with our luggage, gave us a tour, offered excellent local advice, and so much more (they are lucky to have him)! The rest of the staff are kind and helpful as well. We had breakfast twice in the main dining room and snacks/drinks in the Cellar Bar, all of it was delicious. Get The Herbert (their special drink, even if you don't like gin). The decor and property is beautiful and peaceful. We only have two suggestions to take this to 5*: we stayed in room 19 and it can't have AC due to it being in the original house, at times it was quite warm and the little fan doesn't do much. I recommend adding a ceiling fan. In the bathroom, adding more shelving above the toilet would be helpful as the one little shelf above the sink can't quite hold all necessities! Other than that, it's a gem and we'd love to come back. IG: LLTRAVELMEL (for pics and stories highlight)

What a lovely house hotel in Killarney! We stayed in one of the Coach House rooms and could not have been happier! The bathrooms are very roomy and luxurious! The shower and separate bathtub were so nice! Bed and pillows were so soft. Breakfast each morning was so nice! Staff were very helpful and friendly! Killarney, the town, was not our favorite place but the Cahernane and Killarney National Park were simply beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning again in the future!
