What a wonderful weekend! Our accommodation exceeded our expectations. I booked our stay here without really knowing what to expect. We were wonderfully surprised. We booked for 2 adults & 3 kids. Our accommodation was like a mini apartment in the hotel. It consisted of 2 separate bedrooms & a bathroom. It was wonderful. Modern, comfortable, clean & most importantly, the kids were happy. The staff were friendly & handled all COVID guidelines wonderfully. We ate breakfast in the hotel both mornings, used the pool both days & had dinner in the bar both nights. Not once did we feel uncomfortable or too close to other guests. The food was also great. If we head to Killarney again, I would not hesitate in booking the parkavon again.

We have just spent three nights at this hotel. Had two rooms- a family room and a double room. We found the family room which looked onto the parking lot very light at night which affected the childrens sleep. The spotlights cant he turned off they said . Block out curtains would definitely help make the room darker. The breakfasts were good and the wifi very good. The rooms were clean however no toiletries were replaced. We found the staff to be unfriendly and not willing to assist. We booked the hotel for its location and indoor swimming pool. On Monday the pool was closed - the manager advised it was being chlorinated. We called reception on Sunday to see if we could get a swimming slot and he said he would call us back which never happened. The man in the swimming pool area was the only member of staff we found to be helpful. The location is great. The food in the bar area was mediocre so ate their the first night and not again.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights. Was exceptional quite due to the cornoavirus restrictions. There was no one on reception. You had to phone to check in. The person who checked me in came from the bar. He was a perfect example of Irish hospitality at its best. A credit to the hotel. Plenty of parking. Excellent clean warm room. We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Killarney.

A very nice hotel and perfectly situated. We had stayed here on another occasion when we were single and TBH I see it as a couples place...not very child/ family orientated. One night during our visit the bar became very over crowded and felt the residents were pushed aside. Would I go back? Yes but not with kids.

Hello Monkeyboytango, Thank you for your review. I am sorry you felt hotel residents were pushed back from the bar during your visit in August of this year. In truth, the hotel only catered for our residents throughout the summer. As you are well aware, new government guidelines dictate a raft of restrictions for hotels to operate within, one being a maximum time limit and reduced numbers in our bar. As hoteliers, we are too aware how government restrictions impact on the experience and freedom of choice once enjoyed by our hotel guests in the past. The suite of restrictions are now the new norm in the industry. On a positive note, we are delighted you enjoyed the hotel and our location and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Parkavon Hotel again in the future. Best wishes, Stephen O' Connor General Manager - The Parkavon

I would rate this hotel as "very good" because of the price, parking included, proximity to town (10 min walk), facilities, and professional staff. Emelie at the front desk is very professional and kind, and all of the breakfast/bar staff were patient & polite. We asked for a "quiet" room and that is just what they gave us (Room 223). Myself and boyfriend could not have been more thankful for this service. We made a Leisure Centre reservation for 4pm on the Friday, and ended up having the whole place to ourselves! Grand hotel for couples looking for a getaway and small families.
