This hotel is perfectedly situated across from a beautiful national park. The rooms and bathrooms are nice (though parts could use a little update, particularly the bathroom), the pool is fantastic (if you are a fan of swimming laps it's a solid 20meter length), and the sitting areas throughout are cozy and welcoming. They offer a fantastic breakfast in a gorgeous room (where the Peregrine Restaurant also serves a delightfully surprising dinner--it was refined, tasty and the service great-definite try while there for a fine but not stuffy dining experience). But far and a way, the best thing about this hotel is the graciousness of the staff. The front desk (cary ann (? I think) quickly managed to usher me into my room even earlier than the check in as an Amex Fine Hotel and Resort benefit. The big standout of the hotel was the concierge service-in particular PC and his colleague Lee. Both were warm, engaged and full of fantastic suggestions for the best way to use the time in their area. They went far and above for me--calling my car rental agency to inquire about the tires I dinged with my left side driving after a long flight, planning various outings, and even encouraging me to manage the dingle peninsula drive on my own (adding suggestions on where to stop and what to avoid). They did all of this with good humor and seemingly really enjoyed what they did. They made my first few days in ireland so easy. I have traveled to many fine hotels over the world, and I so wish this kind of gracious and knowlegeable concierge service was more the standard than the exception. I would highly recommend this hotel based on that alone!

Hotel's Favourite
Look no further for your accommodation in Killarney. This beautiful hotel is filled with old world charm and modern day amenities. It is perfectly located making it effortless to walk anywhere in this charming town. The staff are all wonderful. They are eager to assist to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The chief concierge, PC, is knowledgeable, helpful, sincere, funny and professional. He helped us to create the perfect itinerary for our stay with excellent recommendations for activities and dining alike. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Rooms were spacious with a complimentary mini bar containing snacks. The beds were very comfortable - which we appreciated after our long days on foot. We traveled with our 3 teens who loved this hotel as much as we did. This hotel Is the perfect spot in a Killarney. We will be back!

When I had the pleasure of staying in the Killarney Park recently, I decided that I would get the train to Killarney as it was a very easy 3 minute walk from the station to the hotel. On arrival I was met by one of Killarney’s greatest icons, head concierge Padraig Casey (PC) and his great team . A very smooth check in led me to a beautiful bedroom tastefully decorated and every amenity you think you may need was there. Lunch in the garden bar was great and served by a very pleasant and knowledgable young lady. On my return to the bar that evening it had a really relaxing ambience , very attentive bar staff and the resident pianist just set the tone and atmosphere for the rest of the evening. The Breakfast was definitely one of the most relaxing experiences you could imagine thank you Ciaran and the team. Unfortunately my trip was too short to avail of the swimming and spa facilities. All in all what a beautiful 5 star property in the middle of Killarney town centre . Congratulations to the GM and the fantastic team on providing the ultimate guest experience. I am looking forward to my next trip but I believe I need to start planning and making a reservation so as not to be disappointed Thank you again John.

The Killarney Park was absolutely spectacular. We visited late September- myself, my husband, and our 1.5 year old daughter. The staff were exceptionally kind, warm, and welcoming from the moment we arrive. The hotel itself is beautiful and perfectly located in the center of Killarney. We could walk everywhere downtown and to the Killarney National Park and you can take a buggy ride or car to local attractions. The room was very spacious and they provided us with a crib for the baby, baby toiletries and even a tiny robe and blanket. We used the hotel babysitting one night and Mairead was lovely and we took a tour to Dingle with Ollie which was spectacular- highly recommend this!! On a rainy day we enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub with the family and the spa is lovely, Victoria especially. Thank you Killarney Park team! We love it here and will be back for sure. - The Campanale Family

Fully deserving of its 5 star rating, The Killarney Park was everything we could have hoped for in a hotel for a special short anniversary break. Although quite large and busy it manages to preserve a cosy, home-away-from-home feel, helped by welcoming and warm decor and incredibly friendly and helpful staff at every point of contact. We stayed in the Kenmare Suite - worth the outlay; extremely comfortable and quiet, spacious and with one of the best bathrooms I have had the pleasure to use (walk-in shower plus bathtub). Dinner in the Garden Bar was superb - although the hotel's main restaurant, the Peregrine, was only open Friday to Sunday, the menu and quality in the Garden was more "restaurant" than "pub/bar" food. Breakfast was served in the Peregrine and was similarly excellent - no buffet, but pastries and fruit on the table when you are seated, in addition to a wide range of hot and cold menu options. Shout out also for the Spa and leisure club - we both had treatments that rank among the best we have experienced, and the leisure club has a lovely 20m pool, sauna and steam room, plus indoor and outdoor spa pools. Lastly, for a change of scene, would recommend a wander over to the Killarney's sister hotel, The Ross, for cocktails and dinner - a very different, less traditional, vibe, but no less enjoyable.

Very disappointed with our premium room. Room decor dated. No hangers/ hooks to hang up robes in bathroom. Definitely not up to 5 star rating. See attached pictures. Did not lodge complaint as my wife took ill (not related ) and we had to leave in a hurry.

Dear John J, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay with us. It is only through guest feedback can we build on our offering. Firstly I do hope that your wife has recovered and everyone is in great health. It is disappointing to read that you did not enjoy your Premium Room. We are fortunate that while all our Premium Rooms are spacious rooms with a very comfortable seating area and fireplace they are not all of the same decor but more individual in character. You had stayed in one of our Classic Premiums. While it clearly wasn't to your taste, we have many return guests that request these rooms. It is unfortunate we weren't aware of this at the time as we would have been delighted to offer you a different Premium Room. I am sure if your time with us was longer, we would have rectified this for you. I do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to us again in the near future where you can stay in a different Premium Room which would be more to your taste. In addition if I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me directly on ciaran.murphy@killarneyparkhotel.ie Warmest Regards Ciarán Murphy Deputy General Manager

This hotel qualifies as one of the best in Europe. The property is lovely, perfectly located at an entrance to the National Park and a 5 minute walk from the main street, and the interior is both comfortable and elegant with 3 public rooms with fireplaces, and a beautiful room where an exceptional breakfast is served. The Garden restaurant is stylish, with excellent food. But what sets the Killarney Park above the rest is the extraordinary level of service. The staff works as one perfectly coordinated team and they anticipate any needs you may have. Outstanding service from PC, and also our thanks to Lee and to Niof. If you make one stop in Ireland, stay at the Killarney Park and request Enda Ward to experience the magnificent Ring of Kerry.

We spent 2 wonderful nights at the Killarney Park Hotel. It was our base for exploring the southern part of Ireland. Hotel is in great location in downtown Killarney. Front desk very friendly and had us in our room quickly and efficiently. We had booked the signature 2 queen room for our family of 4. It was extremely spacious with a separate living room. The hotel had supplied local chocolates and other snacks for our arrival. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked great. One of the best parts of our stay was the breakfast. The hostess and servers were excellent and really made our kids experience special. It seems like they planned on your arrival because they have the table set up with fresh orange juice and a tower of a variety of pastries. Then they make to order any other item you wish. It was a great start to the day and allowed us to skip lunch while we were out exploring. We utilized the pool one afternoon and was very nice and long enough to swim laps in for exercise. We ate dinner one evening as well and had excellent service from Roberto. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
