There is not one bad thing to say about Farmstead B&B! Hostess Eileen is so cheery, accommodating & pleasant. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is just gorgeous and lovely to wake up to every day! Breakfast was delicious and made by host herself every morning. We loved it here & will definitely be back!
The property is located in the countryside but Google Maps gets you right to the door with no problem. Plenty of space to park. A lovely welcome awaited us from Eileen and our rooms were ready as promised when we arrived at 1:30pm. We had our 2 labradors with us, we’d checked in advance about them staying and as they are well behaved and house dogs they were allowed to stay with us. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. We had use of a lounge if we wanted but didn’t use this as we were out and about quite a lot. Eileen, our host, was super friendly and gave us great advice on where we could go taking into account the kids and dogs, both for sightseeing, distance for driving and then also places to eat or stop off at, especially dog friendly places or those with outdoor seating. Breakfast was great, lovely freshly made food, plenty of choices. We’d highly recommend the Farmstead Lodge. …
Very clean very friendly! Eileen and John are super nice!!! Perfect spot to adventure the ring of kerry and Rosa beigh etc. The rooms are pretty clean and the breakfast is simple but awesome! The second - but surely not the last - time we come to E&J
Eileen was very warm and friendly to us. She has a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from, and the room we stayed in was a bit small but still comfortable. The room came with a booklet full of the nearest attractions and restaurants, such as Kate Kearney's Cottage in the Gap of Dunloe, Killarney National Park, and Ross Castle along the scenic Ring of Kerry. HIGHLY recommend whenever you are in County Kerry.
Could not be happier with my recent stay in farmstead lodge, host was extremely helpful and rooms were extremely spacious and clean, breakfast was amazing and just what we needed. Location was very central as we were close to all the local landmarks, could not be better value for money. We will definitely visit again!
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to explore the Ring of Kerry. Eileen was very welcoming and nothing was a bother to her. We booked here as it was pet friendly - the b&b is in a very quiet area so perfect for walking our dog. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the dining room offered magnificent views over the mountains! The bedrooms where lovely - warm, comfy beds and again beautiful views over the surrounding countryside! It is about 15mins from the Gap of Dunloe, 10minutes to Killorglin and about 20/25minutes to Killarney. We would definitely recommend Farmstead B&B for families, young and old couples, solo travellers. Excellent value for money!
Farmstead B&B is located on a country road with farms all around and a wonderful view of the surrounding lush green countryside. Our twin room and the shower in the bathroom were small, but we saw larger rooms. The room was tastefully decorated and Eileen was a very gracious hostess and helpful with directions. Breakfast was delicious and gave plenty of choices to give us a good start to our day..
This place is really out of the way and not so easy to find. It is a working farm so naturally not in close proximity to a town. The nearest pub is a 15 minutes drive. If that doesn't bother you then this place is o.k. Aileen is a charming host and is ever ready with helpful advice and tips. Our room was very small no space even to open the suitcase. Bathroom was opposite the room. It was quite big with a tub and shower. Water pressure was low. What really bothered me was the fact that there was no socket in the bathroom for the hair dryer. The only socket in the room was at the head of the bed and the mirror was on the other side of the room. Had to improvise to get my hair dried. Now this may not bother someone who doesn't blowdry her hair daily but for me personally this was a big issue. Breakfast was o.k. Aileen went to great lengths to ensure that her guests were happy. Nice and quiet place to stay to discover the srea.…
It is lovely modern and clean house. The room was very big and the beds where very comfortable. Lovley views. The hostess was great and very friendly. Internet was free but slow. Showerwas not strong but big and spacious. Big breakfast very tasty.
We stayed here three nights and were treated like one of the family by the owner Eileen. The B&B is part of a working dairy farm of about 30 cows, so for us it was an opportunity to see how some of the livestock operations are in another country. The surrounding countryside is quiet, peaceful and a typical Irish green. The B&B is located on typical narrow Irish roads, so a car is needed. This place is in the country, so one needs to follow Eileen's directions and look for the brown signs along the road that will point you to the B&B. We found it but only after missing one turn. (sigh was there we missed it). Four of us stayed here and everyone would recommend this B&B.
