Stunning location and fabulous facilities!
This was our fifth time back, we just love it.
This campsite is in a stunning location with breathtaking mountain views and beach access just a stone’s throw from your door.
It just feels so wild and natural, just like wild camping but with facilities.
The bathrooms are spotless with nice hot showers. (token required) Nice campers kitchen has a fridge plus laundry facilities, everything you need for camping/caravan. We were greeted on arrival by Pauline and staff, given an overview of the facilities and all pitches are marked now and well spaced out. (some hard stand some on sandy grass) There’s a new chemical toilet/ grey waste area. There is a shop near buy, approx 15 min walk in Tully or you can drive to Letterfrack for bar food/shop. Paddy Coyne’s pub in Tully Cross is really nice for food and drinks also. Until next time, thanks to Pauline and all the team.

Stayed for 3 nights camping, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The site in right on a beach with spectatular views, and even though it was mid August, the beach was relativley queit and private, which was fantastic. The location is great, only 8 mins to Letterfrack (lovely village), 15 mins to Kylemore Abbey, and 10 mins to Connemara Nationla park. Good site facilities and I found the site owners very helpful and friendly too, Would strongly recommend.

Our 16th year staying in this unique stunning campsite. We get the warmest welcome from Pauline and the team.we stay for 2 weeks and count down the weeks from Christmas, can't wait to get up West again, feels like coming home.
Spotless toilets, showers and kitchen area.not a piece of paper in sight.
Of course the beach is pristine and waves conducive to surfing. It helps that it is a private beach ⛱ 😎.
Can't say enough about this gorgeous area of connemara, so much to do and see.spoilt for choice.
Roll on next year.

+1
This campsite is in a stunning location with breathtaking views and offers excellent facilities to its guests. Customer service was perfect, we were greeted on arrival, given an overview of the facilities and the management team only contacted us when we were due to check out (11.30) to ask if we are still around or have we left. No issues whatsoever. Very pleasant to deal with.
Bathrooms were spotless, shower room perfectly well functioning and enjoyable. Kitchen has a fridge too. There is a shop near buy, approx 15 min walk, very useful for essentials.

We have stayed at this camping site the last two years and return as it is an absolutely beautiful location. Unfortunately the lady running the site is extremely rude and appears intentionally confrontational. We asked for a pitch close to the beach and were given the furthest pitch from the beach despite the park having g lots of free space. She was very rude and cross and many fellow campers expressed the same experience. I would recommend booking all online to avoid any dealings with owner. Site itself was clean and comfortable. The beach was stunning and we saw a pod of dolphins on two occasions. Such a pity about the customer service...

Nice enough campsite, lovely little beach , nice setting ….. BUT… and it’s a big BUT…. Not very nice people running it. No welcome on arrival… no hello… etc … bombarded with rules from the get go. They seem to forget they are dealing with tourists on holiday. Where is the Cead mile failte ? They were very militant regarding checkout time which is 11:30… we were told on arrival to have our water filled and disposal done and ready to go before this time !!! We received a phone call from the office at 11:41…!!! which we ignored as we were saying goodbye to our neighbouring campers who happened to be complaining about the unwelcoming vibe of the place. Couldn’t recommend this place . Only go here as a last resort and you love hostile hosts and lots of rules. ( P.S. Electricity was off due to thunder storm, we couldn’t shower and returned pre bought tokens to the office on checkout… do you think we got an apology? I’m sure you can guess….🤔🙈… Horrendous attitude.

No facilities or wif-fi but the location does mitigate this; right down on the beach and ideal location for Connemara / Mayo and not too far from Achill island. We had 3 nights RV -camped here and there were only 2-3 others camping. Host a great help assisting my embarrassing difficulty of having got the vehicle stuck in the mud having inadvisably not kept to the tarmaced loop; getting me a tow truck within half an hour on a Sunday night !!

This is a beautiful site right next door to a fantastic beach. The layout is a bit 'through other' in that apart from a few marked hard standings, its basically park where you like as long as you can reach the EHU. That been said this set up just adds to the charm of the place. Its remote, nearest pubs are around a mile away. We dined in Veldon's in Letterfrack - great spot, couldn't recommend highly enough - and got take away pizzas in Connemara Woodfire - avoid this place diabolical service and massively overpriced. We didn't come into contact with the 'old woman' but we were speaking to people who did and the word formidable springs to mind. Jacinta, the girl who dealt with us, was very helpful and friendly. I'd definitely go back to this site.

A nice tidy campsite that's situated beside a small, but very beautiful beach, it has all the usual facilities one would expect from a campsite, token showers, pot wash, kitchen, etc. However as nice as this campsite is it falls well short on the Cead Mile Failte us Irish are known for, after an abrupt check in process and fuss free night, at 11:20 a.m. as I was completing the final checks to our motorhome before departure, my phone rang and it was the battle axe at reception reminding me that check out was 11:30!! I've stayed at over 40 campsites all over Ireland and this was a new one for me! Heaven forbid that one would overstay! Good luck to them :)

Stunning location, peaceful and beautiful, but sadly appalling customer service.
The older woman (the owner?), moaned about anything and everything. Other customers I spoke to said she had been equally as miserable with them for no apparent reason. I'd suggest if she doesn’t like helping her paying customers, it would be better for the site’s reputation if she stayed firmly in the background.
The amenities are basic, with the showers in need of updating and the hot water is very hit and miss. The site is saved solely by its location.
The beach which is the main attraction can be accessed from a public car park 2 minutes from the site.
