Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We recently stayed in this B&B not for the first time and were again really happy with our stay at Tara House. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean with all you require for your stay with a large comfortable bed, good shower, nice TV, tea & coffee etc. The breakfast you receive each morning is perfectly cooked and delicious. The thing that makes your stay at Tara House is of course Anna who is kind, friendly, approachable, helpful, cheerful and the list goes on. I do not think anyone could welcome you better. What I noticed is it was not just me who felt this way as I overheard guests complementing Anna throughout my stay. Not our first time to stay at Tara House and won't be our last. The location is also perfect for Salthill or Galway only a couple of minutes walk to both, also a bus stop located outside if you don't fancy the walk.

It was meant to be that we connected with Anna on our 3 nights stay in Galway. She was extremely pleasant from the first minute we met and made us feel like family the entire time we were there. - Coffee was hot and endless as well as the awesome breakfast each morning served with a smile! Day trips to the Kylemore Abbey and Cliffs of Moher are well within reason if driving yourself or connect with bus tours close by. Nice walks along the water or into the city center area and yes, this is O'Connor's Pub, just down the street to enjoy a fresh pint. We look forward to coming back in the future and highly recommend this B&B for your travels to Galway.

Anna is a lovely hostess- loves a chat lol. Makes a brilliant breakfast, despite scalding her hands after bleeding radiators for guests. Rooms are clean and well equipped, we were coming and going at all hours, and she always found time to come and check everything was OK for us. We'll be back next year if we can.

This was a wonderful spot! Anna was friendly and had wonderful suggestions. The breakfast was top notch and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Anna was such a gracious host, she even offered to make a hot drink in the evening for my mom (who was fighting a cold). I highly recommend Tara's House, and when you are there jaunt down to O'Connor's pub! It is close enough to crawl home from.

From the moment we arrived our host Anna Doherty, made us feel at home. During our two day stay she was very helpful and friendly. The accommodation is a short walk from Salthill and about 5 min drive (20 min) walk to the centre of Galway. There is ample parking outside. The house is modern and very clean. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra pillows. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice from smoked salmon to full Irish, along with a good choice of cereals, yogurts etc. We have definitely bookmarked Tara House for all future stays in Galway.

Myself and my girlfriend recently stayed in this excellent B&B. The room was very spacious and clean. The location is perfect only 5 minute walk to Galway bay and 15 munute walk to the city. If your feeling lazy the house is conveniently located close to the local bus stop. The breakfast is excellent, one thing for sure is you wont be left hungry. I really can't say enough positive about this B&B. You won't meet a kind, friendly, nice and welcoming host like Anna.

My daughter and I stayed at Tara House for two nights. I can't say enough good things about this B&B. Our room was very spacious and clean. The house is very conveniently located in Galway, just a 15 minute walk to downtown Galway and the bay. Anna is the greatest host! Breakfast was very good and filling. If we ever get back to Ireland, we will make sure to reserve a room at Tara House!

Stayed here for 4 nights while we went to Galway Races and did Galway City and simply can not fault the accommodation or wonderful Irish breakfasts. The two rooms the four of is had were spacious and very clean. Anna is friendly, genuine and extremely helpful. Highly highly recommended.
