Ive stayed here a few times and booked a solo room. the showers are great and the beds and rooms comfy and warm. Always my first choice when staying overnight in galway. handy for last minute stays as well.
Double room with ensuite bathroom. Spacious, comfty, spotless, warm, great shower, hot rad for towel, huge bed and friendly, great location. Great value. Stayed two nights. Couldnt ask for me really. Only downside: lift wasnt in otder during our stay. Plently of excerise as plently of steps to be climbed with luggage.
We enjoyed our stay here very much, rooms were clean and the receptionists were nice. We were surprised by an unannounced fire alarm though and the elevator did not work during our visit. The hostel is located in the heart of Galway, we would definitely come again.
Was in a double room and it was great, comfortable, clean, grand amount of room, very warm, there was a kettle and tv. Bathroom was also clean and given towels too. Definitely not like a hostel and in a great location. Will 100% be back!
When I booked the room online I received an email guaranteeing me that there were 3 beds for the three of us but when we got there there were only 2 beds. Staff not interested and were still charged full price, no apology or phone call from manager. Very slack and unprofessional, avoid if possible
We booked a double room with ensuite shower and ended up extending our stay because it was so comfortable and convenient. Right across from the bus station, it faces off the busy street so is still fairly quiet. The room is well kitted out with flatscreen telly, ensuite, kettle, and comfy bed. There is a large shared lounge and kitchen area that also had everything we needed for preparing a few onsite meals, and PC with Internet access available downstairs with printer access. Great choice at a super reasonable price and only a stone's throw from Eyre Square.
Recenty stayed at this hostel in Galway. Ok. Only for one night. Good if you want to throw your head down for a few hours sleep at a low price. Confusion on entering the high floor as the lift is like a door you have to close fully. When leaving the next morning of the workers pointed me on the way out which I found puzzling as I was leaving anyway. Location is good here too.
First time coming to Galway, it was part of our 1 week road trip in Ireland. We had a private room/bath. I would highly recommend this place. Its located 5mins from everything you're going to want to do, pubs, breakfast places, attractions, etc. And if you're renting a car, park in the parkade behind the Hostel...I believe its a city Parkade. You get 40% off the total for parking. There's a cute Jungle Coffee shop across the street as well, makes a mean smoothie and coffee. The rooms are a decent size, very clean. The only problem we had was the Tv didn't work. The kitchen that you share is very clean as well, and there's a downstairs Gym owned by the hostel you can use for a cost. Front desk staff are 24/7 and super friendly as well.
So I’ve never stayed in a hostel before and the reason I tried this one was because it was opposite the bus station in Galway and there was no bus going to Dublin til 5a.m. Anyway I got a lovely double room after receiving excellent service from Mathu (probably spelt that wrong), there was a lift upstairs if required. The place was so clean and a friendly vibe throughout and actually a majority of rooms are private rooms.
We stayed in a private room, bed was big enough and comfortable, ensuite bathroom was perfect! Great location, across the street from the new bus station and a few steps away from the city centre. Staff was super helpful and ready to help. Spotlessly clean, awesome kitchen and loved the recycling bins! Definitely recommend it!
