Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our second stay at The Hardiman was even better than the first. The staff was lovely, as always, but our stay was much quieter than last year because the hotel has stopped doing hen parties. That makes all the difference in the world on a weekend. We highly recommend this place. Can’t beat the location, and the accommodations were great.

Stayed there in late March. A very nice hotel--perfect central location, nice room, great breakfast. The person manning the desk (Joey I think) was especially helpful--he gave us excellent restaurant advice and went over and above to find us some reservations on very short notice. He was the sort of person that makes you return to a hotel. Strong recommend.

I was excited to go to visit the hardiman hotel in Galway city for a family trip, but the trip ended on a low. I couldn’t fault the rooms they were clean & quite spacious overall but I was shocked at how poor the service was during the breakfast service first off we came down at 9:30 and we were waiting in a Que, then when we arrived to the top of the Que we were greeted quite rudely and bluntly by a blonde woman, the manger I believe. We were sat a a table that was not cleaned properly and we we’re waiting quite awhile for our tea and coffee, the buffet was cold and I took notice of how much of a stressed atmosphere it was around the breakfast room, with staff getting given out to by the manager it was not a nice environment to start the day off in. If I was to stay here again I wouldn’t recommend eating breakfast here, I’d rather go to a different restaurant with proper service and some manners.

An amazing first time stay at The Hardiman, Eyre Square, Galway. This magnificent hotel dates back to 1852 and the characteristics of that period has been cleverly maintained throughout. Welcoming, helpful staff throughout this tastefully decorated and luxurious hotel will enhance your stay. Great sitting rooms for relaxing with attentive staff on hand, restaurant serving great dishes and spacious, more than just a bedroom. This quality hotel is situated in Eyre Square, adjacent to public transport and metres from all tourist amenities.

Me and my fiancé stayed in the hardiman on the 29th of march and we actually walked in at 11pm and was checked in in less then two minutes, our room was absolutely stunning were so sad we only stayed one night, for the price of the room the standard of the room, food and staff was amazing, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone , I’ve stayed in many hotels and this is by far my favourite 10/10 service

Lovely hotel but it was the staff that stood out a mile for their professional and friendly service. Not something you experience too often these days! A pleasure to stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Good evening everyone I had such as wonderful time at Hardiman Hotel in Galway. I absolutely adore this city, my favourite by far in West Coast of Ireland. It was unplanned visit really which left me staying over 3 nights due to exceptionaly good customer service, great friendly staff. I would like to mention few people that drown my attention... At the reception desk Rosa and her colleague Peadar where most pleasant people to deal with, nothing was too much, fully informed of all my options at the Hotel. I would like to add I was surprised to see Peadar at the reception desk when I came in the morning to pay my outstanding bill as he was also involved in delivering my cocktails to my room as well so service wasn't delayed! Most appreciated Peadar , thank you. On my last day I decided to use hardiman hotel restaurant ...I had most excellent filet stake recommended by Leon. I have to say for myself customer service is the most important part of having enjoyable experience and wanting to come back. Leon was so professional so helpful that I hope workers of that kind of professionalism are aprieciated by company and recognised for personal best attribution to make customers as myself feel welcome & special. Thank you very much to the whole team of Hardiman Hotel staff for lovley stay ,especially team members as I mentioned by name above. As well fantastic location in the heart of Galway City and beautiful deco inside Hotel! Would highly recommend Kind regards G. Makowska
