We stayed at St.Jude’s as a family of 3 for two nights. Lovely quite room with large beds and big bathroom. The owners are very warm welcoming two brothers. The breakfast area was very well organized and fresh delicious Irish breakfast served. Large parking in front of the building. The location is excellent and walking distance to city centre attractions and surrounded by lots of food and entertainment options.
Looking forward to back again. Thanks

St. Jude’s Lodge was a true home away from home for me while I was in Galway. You’ll be hard pressed not to make fast friends with Sean and Donal (the owners). They’ll see to it that you have everything you need for a great stay, from a comfortable room, to clean laundry, to a wonderful breakfast, and they’ll throw in the banter for free. I stayed for just over two months and could not have been more pleased. My room was quiet with a view of Lough Atalia. There’s a footpath along the water that’s handy for a morning run. My shower had endless hot water and great pressure, and my bed was quite comfortable. In the morning, you can have a full fry with eggs, bacon, tomato, sausage, black and white pudding, breads, croissants, and more, and there are assorted teas and a fantastic coffee machine that makes lattes, cappuccinos, and more at the push of a button. There’s lighter fare like cereals, yogurts, fruit, and juice as well. The B&B is just a stone’s throw from the bus station, so if you’re coming from Dublin airport, the walk is easy. Speaking of walks, St. Jude’s is walking distance from Eyre Square and the city center, which is handy as well, but the B&B is also just far enough up College Road that you don’t get any city noise. On my next visit to Galway, I’ll surely be back!

Charming, clean and just overall lovely. The owners, twin brothers Donal and Sean, are so kind, thoughtful and attentive, the staff was sweet and friendly, and the breakfast had more options than I anticipated (Breads, various spreads, cereals, eggs, meats, beans, yogurt, juices and a cappuccino machine!) They also have conveniences like a phone for calling taxies, and can connect you with/arrange tours for the Cliffs of Moher. The water pressure in the showers was also very nice, there's plenty of parking and the location is phenomenal - literally across the street from the College Road bus-stop and a short walk to Eyre Square and the train station. I can see how much effort and work has been put into creating a space their visitors will enjoy and I appreciate it. I'll be staying here again, if only to say hi to Donal and Sean.

Stayed for two nights August 2020 with friends, staff were so friendly and helpful, room was extremely comfortable, and breakfast was very well provided. Had no problems at all while staying and staff were always offering help and making sure everything was okay. Would definitely recommend St Judes, it’s only a very short walk to train station and city centre and is very reasonably priced. Felt extremely welcomed and well accommodated while staying.

How lucky were we to booked the number one (for many reasons!) guesthouse in Galway? Upon taking a shuttle from Shannon Airport to Galway, we were greeted in the lobby by Donal, who shared that he runs the B&B with his twin brother Sean. He was absolutely lovely and quickly gave us all the necessary information. Our room was quaint and comfortable (and purple!) -- The windows looked out on the main street, but fear not, they were thick and quiet and we didn't hear a peep from outside. The shower was hot with great pressure and there was a hairdryer in the room. Our favourite feeling was how great it was to be at a B&B, eating breakfast with other guests, and still only a 5-7 minute walk from the centre of Galway. Breakfast had so many options for all kinds of eaters (I'm a vegetarian) and this included a well stocked fridge with water, orange juice, yoghurt, etc... The brown beans and eggs were delicious, as were the fresh blueberries. We saw Sean the next morning at breakfast and it's a good thing the brothers wear different coloured tops because they are certainly identical! There were also numerous pamphlets in the lobby, with suggestions of things to do and tours to book. Donal also suggested that if we hadn't booked anything and we wanted to, he could do that for us :)
Truly, the best introduction to Ireland was finding St. Jude's Lodge.

We have just returned from a great weekend break in Galway. Seán & Donal were great hosts and went to great lengths to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable ..nothing was too much trouble for them, Donal even dropped us to the great local, The Huntsman, to get something to eat before they closed. We were very happy with everything..breakfast was first class, cleanliness was excellent, service was great, room was comfortable and spacious with lots of hot water in the shower. St. Judes is situated on a nice quiet road which is only minutes from Eyre Square, the centre of Galway city. We would highly recommend St. Judes as a great friendly place to stay in Galway.

My friend Lorraine and I stayed at St judes lodge to attend an event in the Galmont. It is in the perfect location, a few minutes walk from both the Galmont and Eyre Square. The twin brothers who run this b&b are both very friendly, helpful and the b&b has a warm homely feel. The rooms were clean and everything we needed after a day walking out to Salthill and back! The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. We left our car there whilst attending the event and it was no problem. We walked from the b&b into the centre of Galway where there were plenty of places to eat. I would definitely stay here again if staying in Galway.

Great place. Everywhere was so tidy and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was a wide range of options available for breakfast in mornings and the room itself was so nice. So close to the city centre and the train station as well :)

The location is perfect - breakfast was top notch and so many options (hot and cold). Rooms were lovely, shower was amazing but the cherry on top was how nice and accommodating Sean and Donal are.

They went above and beyond - I've stayed in places in Galway before the level of service they provide is without question the best I've ever experienced.

Will be visiting again for sure.

We booked this last minute and took a family room for myself my wife and our three kids. The room was very large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. There were 3 single beds and a double for us and even with that many beds the bedroom still felt very spacious with a large en-suite also. The whole place feels more like a hotel than a bed and breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely breakfast in pleasant surroundings. In short, we stumbled across this place by accident but we will definitely return and would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here to family and friends.

There does not seem to be any restriction when returning in the evening. We returned once after seeing the streets of Galway and that was between 9:30 to 10:00 pm.There was no problem. They give you the entrance keys and that is it.
