Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 nights here - traditional style B&B with comfy, cosy rooms, complete with hairdryer which is always a plus! Nice ensuite complete with toiletries. Rooms are cleaned daily due to covid and there was plenty of sanitiser available throughout the building. Breakfast was delicious, there was a variety of options for all from full Irish, omelette, cereals to pancakes and French toast. Breakfast room also well spaced out. The staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating...so was the cat that would hang around outside! I don't think you could get a better location, literally a 10min walk (at most!) from Eyre Square and also the bus station if not coming by car. There is plenty of parking available to which is free. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Galway or using it as a base for wider area.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The hosts were so sweet and the room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. It was very quiet and was just a short walk to town, which was exactly what we wanted. The breakfast was delicious. Great value and I would recommend to anyone!

Overall it was a nice place to stay. The owner got up early to make breakfast for us as we had a busy travel day and wanted to hit the road as soon as possible. The parking was convenient and it was a short walk to downtown. The only drawbacks were that it was on a busy street and the room layout made it necessary to partially close the door to gain entrance to the room.

We stayed at the College Crest Guest House for three nights and we loved it! The staff could not have been more helpful and generous. The breakfast was fabulous, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the accommodation was a 7 minute walk from the centre of town! Would highly recommend!

We arrived a bit earlier than the allocated check in time but our room was ready and we were allowed to check in. There was ample free parking directly outside the hotel. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept well. A nice clean bathroom with a good shower. The location was very good and a short walk into Galway centre We didn’t think that breakfast was included but we got a continental breakfast for free (cooked breakfast would 8 EUR). I would use again.

Walking was like walking into a family home. We arrived just before 9pm, and the owner gave us all the information we would need to explore the beautiful city of Galway. The car park was convenient for our rental, and we didn’t have to worry about the 5-minute walk to city center. Would recommend, and would come back again.

Our room was lovely and comfortable. We wondered in off the street and after some other questionable places we felt like we had wandered into paradise. Our hosts were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location was perfect. We would definitely stay there again were we to visit Galway.

A booking was made through College Crest Guest House but we were sent across the road to St Judes who then walked us down the road to St Gerards. Our expectation was for a Tudor style accommadation. What we got was a very very small modern room with no space for suitcases or to move much at all very noisy plumbing and temperamental shower. The room was in a good location, clean and strong WiFi. We were charged $200 Australian dollars per night with no breakfast.and believe this was extremely expensive for what we experienced. Would not recommend to our friends.

Stayed here for the third time with my wife as the location is ideal. Helen the host makes you feel very welcome and the bedroom was immaculate. Even the bathroom and showers room were gleaming. We were in the triple room 16 and the bed was very comfortable. Helen had left no stone unturned in providing everything that we required and the breakfast was first class. We both slept like kittens and i will certainly return here again shortly as its the best B & B in the city. Thanks Helen
