A bit disappointed - the B&B was in a fairly convenient location (outside Galway, but only a minutes walk to a bus stop with routes into the city) and the host Louise was very welcoming. The room however was basic - small, tired decor, TV that had poor reception, kettle that took over 5 minutes to boil and no toiletries provided. The breakfast was cooked to order but was very average. We stayed in a couple of lovely B&Bs in Ireland and this one was a bit of a let down.
I live locally and regularly book this b and b when I have family visiting from Cork. They love it and find it very comfortable . I offered to book them into a hotel but they asked me to rebook here as they always have a lovely stay
The owner and her daughter were so nice welcoming us to the guest house, and made sure we had all the information we might need even for parts of our trip after we left their B&B. The breakfast was also excellent - the best Full Irish I had while in Ireland! The location is about a 30 minute walk to central Galway, with a bus line nearby.
We really enjoyed our time here. The room was very clean, spacious, and beautiful. Breakfast was lovely as well, with many options. Julia was very helpful and kind, answering any questions we may have. Only thing is that toiletries are NOT provided, so make sure you bring your own shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, etc. Other than that, the stay was great. Definitely recommend!
I’m so pleased my friends and I popped into this quaint B & B when we visited Galway. Julia was an exceptional host, and the rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was abundant and delicious and, once again, the service was exceptional. Highly recommended! Ooh, and there’s a lovely walk into the town centre that goes along the river near the railroad tracks. Gorgeous!
