A taxi driver from Kerry who stays at the Abacus Guest House when he's in Galway recommended the place to a student of ours, and she loved it and recommended it to us. We stayed there two months ago and found it a delightful B&B. This week we needed a place close to Bons Secours Hospital because we had an...

A good experience. After an unsuccessful enquiry at another B&B our party of three fella's touring Ireland on motorcycles descended on Abacus. Despite the personal difficuties the Landlady had experienced during the day which set her back on her normal schedule, we were happily accomadated, given a warm welcome, and were soon settled. There was adequate off road parking. We...

Abacus is an excellent B&B. Good breakfast, competitive rates, constantly improving and upgraded facilities, spotless. Very convenient access to downtown Galway. You can quickly drive your rental car, or better yet, just hop on one of the frequent buses and you are center town in about one stop. But, what really puts this B&B "over the top" is the people...

Our stay at Abacus great. We travelled to Galway without taking care of accommodation, and we didn't know that so many places are closed for the season. Yes, Abacus is not centrally located but the price difference between with other options, even after adding the cost of taxis to and back from the city, was considerable. The staff were amazingly...

This guest house is an absolute gem. The family who run the GH are hospitable and helpful. It's located beside the college and a 20 min walk to the centre of the city. There's a comfortable guest lounge which means you're not confined to your room. Rooms are spacious and clean with tea/coffee facilities available. Our party had to leave...

My Mother came to Galway City to spend a few days and I booked her into Abacus Guesthouse. Her room was spacious, nicely decorated and had everything you could expect. The bed, according to my Mother, was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large, clean and well laid out. Breege and Louise were both very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. They not...

We had a great visit to Abacus Guesthouse. Breege and Louise were absolutely fantastic. Louise went out of her way to make us feel at home- whether it was setting up a dinner table for us when we ordered take out food, or watching our kids while we went pubbing in Galway. The rooms were spacious and clean; and tastefully...
