We stayed for 1 night at The House, which wasn’t our first choice…but could well be on our next visit. It’s location is excellent, with the Latin quarter, with its bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. The porter, James, deserves special mention for his help and guidance, all delivered with warmth and humour. Breakfast was a little bit slow, but was excellent when it arrived.
I have been lucky enough to have stayed at The House Hotel twice since August 2022. Both times the staff at the front desk has been amazing, Dani has been there both times and goes out of the way to make your plans for the day extra special. She will spend time to help you get around. She even called the cab company to get a bag that we left in his car. The food is delicious, I love there rib-eye steak. The hotel is super clean inside and out. We always saw them cleaning. Great location but also quiet.
Fantastic location in the heart of Galway. Room was not very big but had everything, was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and staff were polite and helpful. Looking forward to a return visit.
I love the location of this hotel. Just near the Spanish Arch and then you’re in the hub of things! Stayed in the hotel quite a few years ago and it was just as good as I remember…Great rooms and beds… has everything you need! Breakfast in day one was fabulous, unfortunately, seemed to be short staffed on day two and wasn’t quite as good but good choice for continental too!
House Hotel is very comfortable and attractive. Lobby is very nice and dining room is very attractive and comfortable (and breakfast is also very good). It has a good location near the Spanish Arch but is a bit difficult to get across the road to as there are no pedestrian crossings. The hotel was also considerably less expensive than the others that I checked due to Easter holiday impact. My room was wonderful except for one thing that I never noticed except when I went to bed at night—there was the sound of plumbing or ventilation systems on the other side of my wall (room 305) so I used ear plugs. I didn’t complain about it because it wasn’t worth changing rooms over after I was all settled. The staff was excellent and I’m sure they would have offered me a different room. Everything else was great!…
