Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Location was nice, and decor updated. The hosts were quite helpful and accommodating. Adrian even drove us to the beach when he saw us waiting for the bus! The room and bathroom were appropriately stocked, though small. We were able to leave our bags after morning check out so we didn’t have to carry them around town all day before our evening train. We really appreciated this!

The host was super friendly and attentive, I was looking for a room for three people until I found him and he even offered to pick me up at the bus station, the next day we left the place early and he allowed us to leave our luggage until we left the city. The room that we had was very clean and spacious, with a decent price, yes, it does not accept cards, but it also told us that it accepted dollars, so that is a plus point. I would definitely go back, it was a great place to stay.

I stayed here for 3 nights in large double room. It was very clean and the hosts were extremely helpful when checking in. It’s very close walk to eyre square which was handy for getting the bus back to Dublin on my last day. Would highly recommend this place and the lovely people who run Lynfield. 10/10 would stay here again !

Came here over summer with a friend of mine, chose to come here as some pals of mine had suggested it, was very excited to come to Galway as it’s a very different scene to Belfast - where we’re from. Was greeted by “Trish” upon arriving, i can officially say i understand why my pals call her “trish smell like fish”. Where do i even start. Walked in the door and was asked to remove both my shoes AND socks, which were confiscated? we then walked up the stairs only to discover specs of poo on each step, which got between my toes. We were showed to our room which was what i’d imagine the room jack and ma stayed in in the novel “room”. TINY. big window - with the view of wilted flowers and a skip filled with shoes and socks, presumably belonging to previous residents, and presumably where our shoes and socks were being put. We stripped the bed to give it a quick inspection to find stains that resembled blood on the mattress. the smell was rancid, i’m still unsure if it was the piss bucket we were given due to the broken toilet, or the poo between our toes. fast forward to the morning - we walked down stairs. barefoot. poo between toes. to find that FishyTrishy™️ had all of the residents piss buckets on the kitchen table; where she planned for us to later eat breakfast, and demanded we bring ours down. it was full of piss. we still don’t know what she did with all that piss. Anyways, fast forward to leaving; we left late at night, as we couldn’t take another night of this poo infested piss village. full of roaches. we tried to slip out the door only to find FishyTrishy™️ watering the plants with her homemade manure, well, her residents manure. we now know where the buckets of piss went. so much piss. so little flowers?. we still haven’t got our shoes and socks back. do not recommend.

This hostess has some nerve charging full price and no breakfast. She said it was because of Covid. She’s just lazy and excusing her ineptitude on Covid. Really? I have eaten breakfast at every place I’ve stayed and appreciate the effort. This hostess lacks any gumption to help her guests or make an effort. €128 for room next to car park.

I would like to thank the owners of the B&B. They were absolutely brilliant and so helpful! Myself and two friends were left stranded in Galway after another hotel cancelled our reservation, and Lynfield B&B came to our rescue! The hosts were so lovely, great craic and really made us feel so welcomed! Perfect stay for the final night of our girls trip! And really close to eyre square! So no taxis were needed! Definitely would return again or recommend to friends! Thanks again for saving our final night of our trip!🙂 Emma 🥰

After our other accommodation fell through we phoned Adrian who couldn't have been more helpful in arranging a room for the night, he was very helpful and showed us how everything worked. The location is just a few minutes walk into the city centre. The bed and shower were both excellent and Trish was extremely helpful to us the following morning. Would definitely stay again and would recommend anyone to stay here.

We stayed at Lynfield and used it as our base as we explored the Cliffs and the Aran Islands. Our room was so comfortable and spotless, bathroom spotless and a lovely hot shower. Location just a short walk from the coach station. What made this stay so amazing was Trish - she was just so kind and approachable, I felt so safe and that if anything went wrong on the trip she would be there to help. An angel! Thank you so much Trish and best of luck with reopening for the new season.
